    Description

    Hello!

We are a family based in Izmir, living in the district of Karşıyaka during weekdays, and spending our weekends in our village where we have olive trees and a small natural production area.

Our lifestyle is a combination of city life and nature. During the week, we are in the city with a regular routine. On weekends, we slow down and spend time in our land, enjoying a more natural and simple way of living.

    Our family consists of:
    Me and my wife,
Two children (10 months, 25 months old)
    One cat 🐱
    One dog 🐶

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We believe that hosting is not only about receiving help, but about sharing life, culture, and perspectives.

Before this experience, both my wife and I hosted and traveled through platforms like Couchsurfing.
That experience was very meaningful for us, and now we would like to continue this cultural exchange in a slightly different way—within our family life.

Why this is important for us. We have two children, and we believe that growing up with exposure to different cultures is extremely valuable.

Through this experience, we hope they can:

    Hear different languages
    Meet people from different backgrounds
Develop a more open and global perspective

For us, this is not only practical help—it is also an investment in our children’s personal development.

Sharing meals and daily routines together
Spending relaxed time as a family
Weekend trips to our village and nature
Experiencing authentic Turkish life beyond tourism

Our home is calm, sincere, and based on real connection rather than entertainment.

A lifestyle that combines city life and nature
Natural olive growing and simple production
    Turkish culture and family life
Meaningful conversations about life and different perspectives

We enjoy meeting people from different cultures and learning from them.

    We value people who:

    Are open-minded
    Respect different lifestyles
Are willing to share their own culture and experiences

We are not offering a “touristic stay”, but a real cultural exchange within a family environment.

If this idea resonates with you, you will likely feel very comfortable here.

  • Help

    Help

We are mainly looking for help with childcare during weekdays.

Approximately 4–5 hours per day (Monday–Friday)
The rest of the day is completely free for you

    Your main role will be:

    Spending time with our children
Playing, engaging, and supporting their daily routine
Creating a positive and safe environment

We are not looking for heavy housework.
However, we do expect small, natural contributions such as:

Tidying up after activities with the children
Helping keep their living space organized

On weekends, we usually go to our village.

You are welcome to join us if you like. This is optional.

Occasionally helping in light, simple tasks around the land
Mostly sharing time together in a relaxed environment
You may stay 1–2 nights if you prefer

This is a family-based, trust-oriented environment, not just an accommodation exchange.

We kindly ask that you apply only if you:

Are truly interested in engaging with children and daily family life
    Take responsibility when needed
Value mutual respect and clear communication

This position is not suitable for someone only looking for free accommodation or a passive stay.
