    Description

Hi! I’m Elisabeth, and I own a beautiful vacation spot in Swedish Lapland, surrounded by mountains, forest, lakes, wilderness, and fresh air. I love nature, community living, and hands-on projects.

I’m currently giving my old house some love and caring for the surrounding land. Most tasks are things I enjoy and can I will share my experience so you can learn about things like painting, gardening, maintaining the property, chopping wood, and small creative projects. For any bigger or specialized jobs, I will hire local tradespeople.

From August 14 to September 24, I’m inviting people who enjoy simple living, nature, and working together. We’ll share skills, learn from each other, and enjoy a unique Lapland experience with good conversations and cozy evenings by the fire.

Staying here is not just about helping out — it’s about experiencing and sharing a simple, nature-connected way of life in the far north of Sweden.

You’ll get to join in my everyday life here in Lapland, discover local traditions, and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. I love sharing what I know about painting, land care, yoga and meditation, and maybe some chanting — and I’m equally excited to learn from you.

We’ll cook together, share music, practice spiritual or creative activities (for those who like), and take small trips to explore the area. It’s a place for connection, creativity, and meaningful conversations — where we work side-by-side, laugh, and exchange skills and perspectives from around the world.

    Help

I’m inviting friendly, practical people who enjoy working with their hands and being outdoors. We’ll be working together on tasks such as:

Painting the house and adding putty to windows (I’ll show you how)
    Small and simple DIY projects
    Chopping and stacking firewood
Creating a small wood storage area
Clearing and maintaining paths or land around the property
Cooking and helping with daily chores
No special skills are required — just a willingness to learn, share your own ideas, work as a team, and enjoy community life in nature.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You’ll be staying in a cozy home surrounded by wilderness. There are two guest rooms, each with comfortable bunk beds (four beds total). For families or couples, there is also a master bedroom with a double bed.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can sleep under the stars in our tent or hammock. The house has running water, a shower, and a washing machine. We share one bathroom, and there’s also a traditional outdoor privy.

Meals are mostly vegetarian, with the option for fish or meat at times. We cook and eat together, and I’m always happy to try new recipes from around the world.

    Getting here:

Fly via Stockholm Arlanda to Vilhelmina (airline: PopulAir), then take a bus for about an hour.
Or take the train to Östersund or Umeå, then a bus to Vilhelmina, followed by the local bus to my village.
While it’s remote, this is a place full of magic — surrounded by forests, lakes, and mountains.

In the mornings, you’re welcome to join gentle community practices like yoga, meditation, or stretching in the big living room. In the evenings, we often gather around the fire to sing, share stories, and connect. This is a space to slow down, enjoy nature, and share meaningful moments together.
