Description
Hello! My name is Gabriela, and I run a small, friendly language school in Bučovice and Slavkov u Brna, two towns in South Moravia, Czech Republic, close to Brno.
For more than 15 years, we have been helping children, teenagers and adults learn foreign languages in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our language school is based on a personal approach, small groups, communication and creativity. We believe that learning a language should be enjoyable, practical and inspiring. We have a friendly team of Czech and international teachers, and we love bringing different cultures and teaching experiences into our classrooms.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for qualified and experienced English teachers, ideally native speakers, with TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent teaching qualifications. We also welcome applications from qualified Spanish teachers.
We particularly appreciate teachers who are confident working independently with children, teenagers or adults and who enjoy making lessons engaging and interactive.
International university students studying in Brno or Olomouc are also welcome to contact us if they have suitable teaching qualifications and experience and are available to teach on certain days of the week.
Teaching opportunities throughout the year
Our language school operates during the academic year:
Autumn semester: mid-September to mid-February, with approximately three weeks off around Christmas.
Spring semester: mid-February to June.
July: additional paid teaching opportunities at our English Summer Camps.
Most of our lessons take place in the afternoons. The number of available teaching hours and working days depends on our current timetable and student enrolment.
Paid teaching and accommodation
All teaching positions are paid, and all required working hours are compensated in accordance with Czech employment requirements.
We provide free accommodation for teachers staying with us: a private, lockable bedroom with a desk in a fully equipped shared apartment in the centre of Bučovice. Meals are not included.
Let's get to know each other!
We understand that every teacher has different availability and expectations. After your initial message through Workaway, we would be happy to arrange a short phone or video call to discuss your qualifications, our current timetable, available teaching hours and possible dates.
Whether you are interested in joining us for a semester, a longer period or selected teaching days, we would love to hear from you.
We look forward to welcoming enthusiastic teachers who enjoy sharing their knowledge and becoming part of a friendly international teaching community! -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Working with our language school is a wonderful opportunity to experience everyday life in the Czech Republic while becoming part of a friendly, international teaching community.
Our school is based in Bučovice and Slavkov u Brna, two welcoming towns in South Moravia, close to Brno.
You will have the opportunity to meet local people, get to know Czech traditions and culture, and experience life beyond the usual tourist destinations.
We enjoy exchanging teaching ideas and experiences with teachers from different countries. You can share your own teaching methods, discover different approaches to language education and gain valuable experience working with Czech students of different ages and language levels.
We are a small, supportive team where teachers can learn from one another, share ideas and develop professionally.
During your free time, you can explore the beautiful South Moravian countryside, visit historic towns, discover local cafés and restaurants, or travel to Brno, Prague, Vienna and Bratislava.
We believe that cultural exchange happens naturally through everyday conversations, friendships and shared experiences.
We would love you to feel welcome, independent and comfortable during your stay, while enjoying both your teaching experience and life in the Czech Republic. -

Enjoy working with students of different ages and abilities.
Native English speakers are particularly welcome, but teaching qualifications, experience and excellent language skills are our priorities.
