    Description

Hi there! My name is Anna and live in a small village called Kurravaara, 15 minutes from Kiruna. The fantastic nature around here is what I live for. You can go skiing, fishing, kayaking, hiking or just about anything when you simply open the door. I live with my two dogs Björk and Blixten in a small house and when I'm not working, skiing or training the dogs I'm doing stuff around the house, renovating and building a little bit and taking care of the garden and plants. I grow vegetables, go fishing and this fall I will hunt. I'm an easy going person who appreciates nature, honesty, laughter, friends and family and a good sauna now and then. I work with many different things, from fine are to heavy industry.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I can teach you a little bit about northern Swedish and Sámi culture, the way of the forest, working dogs, local food and cooking and knowledge about growing vegetables and fishing in the north.

  • Help

    Help

I'm looking for a person who can help out a little bit around the garden, with smaller and a bit bigger projects, someone who can be willing to take care of the dogs when I'm working and from time to time take care of the house when I need to go away for a few days for work. And maybe some occasional cooking. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I don't care if you are a woman or a man as long as you are strong, kind and loves dogs. It's a bonus if you can handle some tools and know a few things about growing vegetables and building.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

I have an old but clean and very cosy caravan just outside the house that will be the workawayers place. Toilet and shower in my house and wood fired sauna in the garden. I will provide good and healthy food but there wil be no set schedule about cooking, we help each other and decide from day to day what it looks like.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is a bus going to the city centre in Kiruna once a day but it is good to have a car in this part of Sweden. You can borrow a kayak, go fishing, pick mushrooms, berries, hike up a mountain.

I live a calm life, no drugs are allowed and alcohol in moderation. Honesty, respect and good communication is important since I live alone and will sometimes leave the house and the dogs as your responsibility.
