Description
We are an Irish Polish family, living in a colourful village in Beara, West Cork, Ireland. Pawel is a visual artist, a painter and Emma is a Community worker.
The Village:
We live in the village of Eyeries, there is a daily bus service to Kenmare, Co Kerry and to Bantry, Co Cork and to the local town, Castletownbere. The village has a cafe, 2 pubs, 2 shops, and a post office for all your essentials. We are on the Wild Atlantic Way and there are many walking routes and ocean exploring. An outdoor enthusiasts dream place.
Past Experiences with Workaway:
We moved here 2 years ago. You will see from our Reviews that we had workaway's at our previous home, where we made an annual summer festival! We made great memories with our work away crew and will always cherish they help they gave us. We live a bit quieter these days but still make music events and community projects.
What We Need:
We are looking for friendly, sociable and energetic work-away people to come and help out at home, creating a garden (this is a new house) and help with art projects from time to time.
We are an active and busy family, with all of the noise and chaos that comes with it, so understanding of family with children is a must.
Musicians welcome! We are musicians and play music locally and also with a band, Non Toxic Orchestra, at events, so you would be welcome to join in with us, whether for playing or simply enjoying.
Pawel has a sailboat and would love to bring you out sailing too.
We moved to this village 2 years ago, so our garden is new and needs some tlc, digging, planting and pathways to be made.
Meals:
Main meals are provided. Any extra snacks/plant based milks/ speciality vegan food etc.. you supply for yourself.
We have name labels for any food you buy for yourself.
We eat meat (though not every day). We eat dairy. We cook veggie too.
A cooking schedule can be discussed.Types of help and learning opportunities

We all speak Polish, Emma would like to improve hers. Pawel and the children are fluent. 2 members of the family speak a little Spanish and would like to learn more. Pawel speaks French. Those with limited English are welcome.Accommodation
Accommodation is a guest bed in the living room (photo on our profile).
This room is used as a living space during the day. Bed needs to be folded up in the day time. It is yours from the evening through the night and we would have an agreement about days that it is fully your space, door closed, so you can have some time for yourself too.
You will have furniture to store your clothes and belongings. What else ...
Local Link and Bus Eireann, bus service to the village daily going to Kenmare, Co Kerry - Bantry, Co Cork - and the local town Castletownbere. Timetables provided.
We live close to Dzochzen Beara, a Buddhist meditation retreat. We are on the Wild Atlantic Way, a hikers paradise. 10 minute walk to the Ocean for swimming. Many Stone Circles and history to discover.
