    Description

Amatroccola is a small, quiet corner of the Itria Valley, surrounded by oak and walnut trees, old olive groves, cherry, fig and almond trees. The land is bordered by a traditional dry stone wall and opens onto patches of woodland and wheat fields. It’s a peaceful place where the days follow the rhythm of nature.
I live in a natural lime-and-hemp house, together with my 9 cats and one dog. Life here is simple, slow and connected to the land.

We are just 5 km from Ceglie Messapica, a beautiful white town known for its food, history and warm southern atmosphere.
And for those who love the sea, the Adriatic coast with its crystal clear water and rocky coves is only a short drive away — perfect for a swim after a morning of work.
If you love nature, animals, silence and a simple way of living, Amatroccola is a gentle place to land.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The Itria Valley is rich in cultural and artistic events, especially in spring and summer: concerts, exhibitions, festivals, open‑air cinema, traditional celebrations, and contemporary art initiatives in nearby towns like Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Ostuni.
There are also opportunities to join agricultural training workshops, local courses and community activities related to sustainable farming and rural life.

I love meeting people from different backgrounds, and I’m always happy to exchange cultures, ideas and experiences, especially around agriculture, sustainability and local traditions.

This is a place for those who enjoy nature, simplicity, learning through hands‑on experience, and connecting with local culture.

  • Help

    Help

In the mornings, I need help with:
    • caring for the land and the synergistic vegetable garden
    • learning and applying permaculture methods
    • recognizing local wild edible plants
    • light maintenance around the property
    • caring for the cats and the dog.

In October, you can also join the olive harvest, a beautiful seasonal experience.
We have a wood fired oven, and when possible we bake bread together.
We will work side by side, and I’m happy to share my knowledge about permaculture, wild plants, and sustainable land care.
Afternoons and weekends are free for exploring, relaxing, or enjoying the Adriatic Sea nearby

You will stay in a cozy, independent Tiny House, a small wooden cabin surrounded by nature and perfect for one or two people.
The space is simple, warm and private, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

    The Tiny House includes:

a double bed on a mezzanine

a small bathroom with sink, shower and urinal

    an external compost toilet

    Wi‑Fi connection

    air conditioning and heating

The Tiny House overlooks the land and offers peace, privacy and direct contact with the surrounding countryside.

At lunchtime we usually cook and eat together, preparing simple meals with local, genuine ingredients. I provide fresh vegetables from the garden, seasonal fruit when available, and high‑quality local products.
In the evening, you are free to cook independently in the Tiny House kitchen.

We can also go grocery shopping together, choosing good local food and discovering typical products of the Itria Valley.
