Description
This is a Family Self-Sufficient Open Farm located on the edge of the forest and the nature reserve 'De Rietbeemd' in Geraardsbergen.
Familial
The Co-creators of the farm are Annick & Pieter & children & Volunteers. Everyone is welcome to join the farm for a day and become a co-creator of this place.
Self-sufficient
We grow various vegetables, potatoes, animal feed.
Here you can enjoy a diversity of animals including sheep, goats, turkeys, rabbits, guinea fowls, ducks, runner ducks, geese, chickens, ... In here we wish to further specialize in the breeding of large fowls such as Brahma chickens, New Hampspire, Opringhton, Bruges Blue, Poule De Bresse.
In addition, we use various methods to store the harvest so that the harvest and cultivation can be enjoyed all year round.
Open
We open our doors twice a month to proceed to Co-Creation together during the Do-days every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month throughout the year.
Everyone is welcome on the Doe-dagen from 0 to 199 years old, with all the vulnerabilities and challenges in life, regardless of his or her diversity.
Tailored to the individual's rhythm, we guide them in their growth process through creation, reflection and contemplation.
We also close every Do-day with a Connecting Campfire.
