    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

For many many years I have been growing on a spiritual level with a lot of personal development. Anthroposophy and Tao are a big part of my daily life. I can talk about this for hours. Including the role of parent and the upbringing of a child.
So it is always nice to talk about these subjects.
And ofcourse I like to chare all the ideas and dreams about the community.

I bought a house and renovated it in an ecological way. I had an architect who helped me with finding companies who work with ecological matereals and who coördinated the tasks. If you like to learn this way of building, you can see many things.
The house is almost finished now. That leaves me by sanding doors and furnitures, painting and doing little details.
There is also a lot of work to do in the garden and the outside.

I am running a project to start up a community for selfsufficient living. This is on a campingsite nearby and needs to be build up from the beginning. So there is a lot of work to do:
cleaning caravans, fixing broken things, plumary, carpentery, gardening in the woods ... We like to receive all the help we can get. If you come, you can sleep in one of the caravans, where you have your own bathroom..

    Accommodation

In my house, there is a nice big bedroom, showerroom, toilet and garden. All of this is yours to use in a way of taking care of everything. I live in the other part of the house.
Everything that is available you can use: sheets, blanckets, towels, ...
In the community you sleep in one of the caravans, where you have your own bathroom.
I like you to take care of all the things and furnitures and keep the house or caravan clean. When you use something put it back again where you took it. If you use the tools for working with, please put them back in the right place.
I like you to take care of the enviroment, so closing doors while the heater is on, turning off the lights when you are not in the room, recycling the rubbish, no spilling food or water...
    I don't have a TV.
The village is situated between Brussels and Gent and easy to reach by train. (25km from Brussels and 25km from Gent) The house is in the center of my village, so close to all the shops and busstation.
There are no people allowed who take drugs or smoke cigarettes. I don't buy alcohol.

    What else ...

I don't like it when my guests don't show up without telling. But I do understand if you change plans. I often change my plans too. If I am arranging my day to welcome you and you don't come without sending me any message, I don't like it. This is no respect for the host who is willing to give you a place to stay. So, just sent me an email if you cannot make it to my house, I will totally understand.
You can do nice walks in the neigbourhood. You have a bike to use. With the bus you go to the trainstation and from their you can reach whole Belgium.
