    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You’ll meet guests from all over the world—of all ages and backgrounds—as well as many wonderful Canadians. During your time here, you’ll build close friendships and meaningful connections with guests, fellow staff, and our neighbours.

If you are interested in horsemanship, you will receive a solid introduction to Western riding, guiding, and horse care. We’re happy to help you develop skills in these areas and support you as you learn. You can also explore other areas such as animal care, hospitality, and farming—wherever your interests lead you.

    Help

Our team is made up of several key roles: a maintenance person (craftsman preferred), one or two Wranglers, a chef, and one or two helpers who assist mainly with cleaning and laundry.

    – Maintenance (Handyman):
Responsible for all repairs, fencing, lawn mowing, cutting firewood, and general upkeep. We prefer someone with experience as a craftsman, builder, or handyman. If you are comfortable working with a chainsaw, we’d love to hear from you.

    – Wrangler (Riding Guide / Horse Care):
Wranglers must be very experienced riders, with at least 10 years of weekly riding experience, and physically able to lift a 15–20 kg Western saddle onto a horse. A solid understanding of horsemanship is essential. Since we host international guests, fluent English is required. Wranglers also help with general duties such as cleaning rooms, serving dinner, or assisting in other tasks when fellow team members have time off.

    – Chamber Maid / Housekeeping:
Daily tasks include cleaning rooms, doing laundry, and helping with breakfast or check-ins/outs. As we have only a few rooms, the cleaning portion takes around four hours per day. There are plenty of other areas where you can assist depending on your interests—such as caring for chickens, horses, and livestock, lawn mowing, and general ranch help.

    – Chef:
You’ll have a great deal of autonomy. Responsibilities include planning, ordering supplies, preparing meals, and managing the kitchen. The ranch serves one set dinner at 6:30 pm, five days a week, with the goal of creating a delicious, casual dining experience within our Western-style saloon/restaurant. We offer competitive wage, gratuity, and if needed 'room & board' and the usual days off. We are kind of a big family and everybody helps everybody... A good team-spirit is a very important part of our Ranch.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada, and we require a commitment from the beginning of May until the end of September.
We offer a competitive wage, room and board, gratuities, regular days off, respectful and supportive management, and a fun, positive work environment!

International applicants are welcome! Please note that if you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, a Working Holiday Visa or another valid Canadian work visa is required.
