Oh, I learned quite some things here! I stayed for almost two weeks at Anita and Clement‘s place and got to do some interesting and satisfying work: install heaters, assist in solding their tubes, plastering wunderful old stone walls and isolating walls for example.
The atmosphere was pretty calm and easy, and I enjoyed working in my own rythm. I

Both Anita and Clement shared insights about their passions with me and I got to see Clement at his impro theater show!
Although I‘m not too much into dogs, I couldn’t resist liking Taiga and enjoying having her around.
So thank you for welcoming me, training my French and doing your best to show me new things!

Clément, Anita and Taiga are two of the most lovely people (and dog) that you'll ever meet! We stayed with them for 2 weeks in December 2023. Apart from teaching us lots of helpful DIY skills they both made us feel like a part of their home, gave us incredible food helped us explore the local area.
Their house was fantastic and incredibly

Thank you so much and we hope to see you again :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We had a beautiful week with Anita, Clément and Taiga! They gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home straight away. During the whole stay we felt really appreciated and had great conversations and laughs, it was refreshing and nourishing at the same time. Also we got to meet a friend of theirs and had a joyful fondue night with lots of

We didn't only have fun though, but also worked :D The two of them have a good overview of the project and broke it into smaller tasks so that we managed to finish sanding and painting the walls and the radiators in the living room during the week. We really enjoyed working with them and being part of their journey, can already imagine how beautiful the house with its rich history will be when it's finished. During the stay we learned a lot about house renovation, energy systems and all the little obstacles and challenges which occur when doing such a big project. That was very interesting and gave a great insight! Anita and Clément also gave us tips on what to do in the neighborhood, so we hiked to the Chateaux d'Ottrott, did a day trip to Strasbourg and visited Rosheim and Obernai. We felt like we could have easily stayed for more weeks with them, when we left it was two strangers less, two friends more :) And not to forget Taiga, gorgeous dog of theirs ❤ We fell in love with her and all the cuddling and playing! Merci Anita et Clément et Taiga pour tout et hopefully see you again! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Tomás et Agostina sont restés deux semaines chez nous fin août. Ce sont deux personnes très intéressantes, dévouées et agréables à vivre. Je ne peux que vous conseiller de les accueillir si vous en avez l’occasion !

Anita and Clement are a really nice and friendly couple. We spent 2 weeks with them working in the renovation of the house and we had a great time. They were always there working next to us and explaining how to do the job. We had a great cultural exchange, since we were able to try different dishes prepared by them and we also spoke all the time
… read more in French (they were super patient while we tried to find the correct words). They gave us lots of tips and recommendations for us to explore the surrounding area and they were very easygoing when planning our trips, be it by bus or train. We also had the chance to meet some of their friends and neighbours, which was really interesting and fun.
All in all, our experience was excellent and we surely recommend workawayers to stay with them and help them renew the house (who knows, it might be helpful if you buy your house one day).
PD. We also wanted to send a hug to Taiga, the dog, who was super friendly and probably the most educated dog we have met.
Merci beaucoup, Anita and Clement! On vous atend en Argentina :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
