    Hello! We are Francisco (38), Sofia (39), Ayun (9), Miel (7), Kai (8), and Max (11 months), a family living in Campo del Valle, Casablanca. Nine years ago, we participated in Workaway for a year as hosts and we really enjoyed the experience. At that time, we only had one child and we worked our organic garden, selling honey and free-range eggs. Since then, our plans have changed. We now have a restaurant in Casablanca as a family business, we've downsized our large organic garden, and our family has grown considerably! Therefore, we need extra help to bring our garden back to life, and we would also love for you to spend time with the children to practice English, help with homework, and spend time with us.

    Hello! Somos Francisco (38), Sofia (39), Ayun (9), Miel (7), Kai (8) and Max (11 meses), una familia que vive en Campo del Valle de Casablanca. Hace 9 anos participamos durante 1 ano como anfitriones en Workaway y nos gustó mucho la experiencia, en ese entonces solo teníamos un hijo y nos dedicábamos a trabajar un huerto orgánico en producción, vender miel y huevos de gallinas libres. En este tiempo nuestros planes cambiaron, ahora tenemos un restaurante en el pueblo de Casablanca como negocio familiar, achicamos el gran huerto orgánico que teníamos antes y agrandamos la familia considerablemente! Por lo que necesitamos ayuda extra para que nuestro huerto tome vida de nuevo y también nos gustaría que puedan compartir con los niños de la casa para practicar el ingles, ayudar con las tareas del colegio y compartir con nosotros.

    They will learn a lot about permaculture, as it is the foundation of everything we do. For example: 1. How to cultivate and maintain a home garden. 2. They will learn to harvest delicious fruits from the countryside, as there are many fruit trees such as blackberries, apples, figs, pears, grapes, and others depending on the season. 3. We will take walks in the countryside, hikes, or bike rides. 4. If we happen to be there at the same time as the beekeeper, he can show us the honey-making process and how the beehives work. 5. We will plant fruit trees in our garden this season.

    Aprenderán mucho sobre permacultura ya que es la base de todo lo que hacemos, por ejemplo:
    1. Como cultivar y mantener un huerto de casa

    2. Aprenderán a recolectar ricas frutas del campo ya que hay muchos árboles frutales como moras, manzanas, higos, peras, uvas y otros según la temporada.

    3. Haremos paseos por el campo, caminatas o en bicicleta.

    4. Si coincidimos con el apicultor el nos puede mostrar los procesos de la Miel y como funcionan las colmenas.

    5. Plantaremos arboles frutales esta temporada en nuestro jardín.

    Help

    We need help with: 1. Gardening (planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, weeding, and preparing the soil for planting). 2. Spending time with the children, helping with their homework, practicing English, and going for bike rides with them in our countryside. 4. Maintaining, tidying, and cleaning the house. This will make everyone more comfortable and our days will be much more enjoyable. We already have someone who helps with cleaning, but since there will be more of us, it's essential that everyone pitches in to keep our spaces tidy and clean.

    Necesitamos ayuda en :
    1. Trabajo de huerto (plantar semillas, transplantar almácigos, desmalezar y preparar el suelo para plantar).
    2. Pasar tiempo con los ninos, ayudarnos con sus tareas del colegio y practicar el ingles, salir a pasear con ellos en bicicleta por nuestro campo.
    4. Mantenimiento, orden y limpieza de la casa. Así estaremos todos mas cómodos y será muy agradable el pasar de los días. Contamos con una persona que nos ayuda en la casa con el aseo pero ya que seremos mas, es necesario que todo colaboremos con el orden y limpieza de nuestros espacios.

    What else ...

    You can enjoy lovely walks in the countryside and bike rides, taking in the scenery and the weather. We have many fruit trees, including apple, fig, grape, and blackberry, among others, and we love picking fruit for ourselves. We are 15 minutes from downtown Casablanca and 1 hour from Valparaíso. Once a week we travel to Concón to go to the beach and surf.


    Pueden hacer lindas caminatas por el campo y andar en bicicleta, disfrutar del paisaje y el clima. Tenemos muchos arboles frutales como manzanas, higos, uvas, moras entre otros, nos gusta mucho recolectar frutas para nuestro consumo.
    Estamos a 15 minutos del centro de Casablanca y 1 hora de Valparaíso.
    Una vez por semana viajamos a concon para ir a la playa y hacer surf.
