  Description

  We would love a bit of help with our projects. We are an energetic couple with grown children.
  
  We are 15 minutes from down town Tauranga and we love meeting young travellers and welcoming them into our home . On a farm we are always in need of another pair of hands to help us!
  
  We have a beautiful property with lovely river running through - in summer it is great for swimming or using the pizza oven which we have by the river!
  
  We love having young people around. Ideally you would have a good sense of humour and be relaxed sort of people. Non-smokers please.
  
  In return we would like you to work with us and we are flexible so that you can have full day off.
  
  YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT AS THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT NEAR HERE.

  I am also a yoga teacher so you are welcome to join a class ir two during your stay.
  
  There is so much to do in our region - from mountain biking to surfing at Mount Maunganui and a quick trip over the hill to see Hobbiton or a day trip to Rotorua.
  
  We consider ourselves to be a ‘typical’ hospitable and friendly kiwi couple - you will likely get to meet our children and so you will learn about our family and how their younger families flourish in NZ.

  Help

  Tasks will be varied mainly farm work to perhaps some painting, gardening or cooking!
  Plenty to do without getting bored any help would be wonderful.

  We love sharing all the colloquial kiwi sayings. We are also very happy to help as you learn English.

  Accommodation

  We will supply a beautifully appointed bedroom in our house. You will usually have a king-size bed ( though sometimes it may be in the double guest room if we have other guests). You will have your own bathroom.
  
  You will have full access to our living areas - both inside and out as well as use of our laundry facilities.
  
  We will supply and cook food for you - although we love it if you would cook at least one meal from your country.
  
  When we are overseas we swap our home with the Home Exchange website.

  What else ...

  There is plenty to do on our property- from swimming, walking, to visiting the glow worms .
  
  There is also plenty of places to visit - I have compiled a list of about 20 things to do close to our place , and another 20 things to within about an hours travel.
  
  Your own transport is essential as there is no public transport available here.

  We have internet - but typical rural NZ it will be not as high speed as you are used to if you come from a city! If you have a camper can you could camp by the river if you prefer independence from our house
