We are an off grid, permaculture farm developing into a transformational balancing retreat and intentional community in a remote yet not too remote area of South Africa. The farm is in the garden route which is also known as Eden. It really does feel like Eden being engulfed with beautiful mountains, streaming rivers and many waterfalls through the luscious indigenous forrest down through to 5 beautiful lakes along this magnificent coast with luscious lagoons running off into the humble ocean.

General Maintenance
Skills that you could pick up are permaculture, building, carpentry, general farm up-keep, bee keeping, nutrition, gut health, healing with food, moving meditation and the practice of the dao flow.
We also have a huge interest in Biodynamics and the knowledge already discovered may most certainly be shared.
The farm is off the grid and also self sustaining to a degree, however self sustaining means much work needs to be put into the produce in the greenhouses.
We operate within the permaculture principles to the best of our abilities and we are in the process of restoring the land by reintroducing indigenous tree's and plants and enriching the soil life.
The intention is to develop this farm into a transformational balancing retreat and a hub for vibrating harmonising frequencies into the collective resonating matrix.
This means that as a volunteer, we would like you to have an affinity with the overall intention and vision of positively affecting mass psychology. You will also need to be a person who already has a fairly balanced vibration of your own. If your ego is too strong or you still have problems with an addiction or a habit in taking harmful substances or you have difficulties with embracing virtues like patience, tolerance, filial piety and humility... please be honest with yourself, to not waste your own time and ours. We are focused on having people in the project who radiate harmony and balance within themselves and towards others.
This is the foundation upon which this retreat is being founded.
Volunteers who haven't yet understood personal responsibility cannot get involved here in these initial phases.
Volunteers who are very new to the journey with their personal development in relinquishing the victim consciousness, can come for assistance 5 to 10 years down the line when things are more setup.
Most of the help required is general farm work to keep the farm on a self sustaining level using and general maintenance with the structures and all the plants and trees.
The work could involve carpentry, building, logging, timber prepping, painting, oiling, sanding, varnishing, cleaning, bee keeping, grass cutting, composting work, pruning tree's, maintaining vegetable gardens, irrigation adjustments, water preservation, fire wood chopping, clearing fire breaks, general gardening, weeding, shoveling soil, shoveling shit, nurturing the plant life and beautifying the landscape. Farm life can be idealistic coming from the city but it is not for the faint hearted. The work is humbling, sometimes it requires us to be on our hands and knees.
There are a few structures to be built and renovations to be made this year. Next on the list is the communal kitchen in the shed and then the eco pool. The workshop space for conferences, tai chi or yoga workshops will be built after that. Then, the library and chalets are to be built. It is an exciting time of growth here and we look forward to your enthusiasm and open heart.
There are however always many various tasks to be tackled, for example fencing, vertical herb garden, a labyrinth, shelving in the shed, installing a garage door, workshop deck.
This is a good overview of all the tasks ahead for next few years.

We have a small cabin for volunteers. We have outdoor showers and a comfortable compost toilet.
We offer rice, lentils, split peas, hemp seed and moringa powder. Anything else will have to be provided by yourself.
Generally we tend to accept the more committed volunteer over the travelling volunteer looking for a lovely learning pitstop... but who knows, if you happen to have a strong affinity with the project or the people on this land and your timing is good, as well as your request filled with enthusiasm for this project, for which we are tools ourselves... then you might be warmly welcomed. So allow yourself to express your dignity and write a detailed introduction.
Please to be noted... smoking and drinking is prohibited. Cooking animals is also not accepted. We do not share this wonderful eco environment with the birds and the bee's, they share it with us and we are simply the guardians of this land and the tools of this project. With this understanding we express our respect for nature using our actions. Water is revered and treated with utmost respect, by using the compost toilet at all times rather than the flush toilet for example, or using the bushes to urinate.
There is always an initial 1 week probation period, then again 4 weeks into your stay here. If a volunteer makes some serious damages, causes for serious risk or harm towards the land or any other people on the land within the first few days. Then you will be asked to leave given 12hours notice.
We regret to inform you that the chances of us accepting your request, if you are younger than 25 years of age, will be very small. We are in the setup phase for this retreat centre and for the next few years, we look forward to welcoming the more capable working hands. In 5 to 10 years time we can welcome the less experienced volunteer.
