    Description

Hello! Most of my reviews are from when I had a fabulous chateau in Normandy…but now I have escaped to Carcassonne in the south of France. And honey, I have shrunk the chateau.
I have bought a beautiful looking belle époque townhouse that is less than 3 metres wide. Inside it is a disaster zone.
It is going to be a big eco friendly project . Its current energy rating is F and I hope to improve that to B and give the house a new life for me and my two cockapoos.
I would love some help with setting up personal social media, small diy tasks, gardening etc. The good news is you will be staying at my lovely Mid Century Modern house right on the Canal du Midi. I have just finished renovating this villa with the help of two fabulous Workawayers , who stayed for 18 months. Your accommodation is fantastic…not a dusty room in the new house..lol. You can walk everywhere.

I am getting a load of government grants for things like heating, insulation and windows.
I am starting Instagram and YouTube accounts to document the renovation, so I am after people who don’t worry about being seen online. I would appreciate help with the videos and postings…I have never done this sort of thing before.
Read my reviews and you will realise you will have a great time here. I have successfully hosted hundreds of Workawayers.
Carcassonne is the best place I have ever lived. You don’t need a car. There is the unbelievable castle and canal, but other sights are easily accessible. My house is a few minutes walk from the railway station, where you can get to Montpellier, Toulouse, Narbonne in less than an hour.
I tend to like lively, enthusiastic Workawayers.

I only take couples or two or three people travelling together. I do not take single travellers …unless I know they can join other Workawayers already here.

I like lively, humorous, energetic helpers. It is very sociable here. Shrinking violets tend to find this a bit off putting. Wine tends to flow freely!

I have two dogs who love everyone..they are Cockapoos.

Accommodation is in a well appointed double room with your own bathroom. Or in a self contained flat with room for a third person on a sofa bed.

Most of my reviews are from when I had the chateau.

The new house is right in the centre of Carcassonne . You can walk everywhere.

I am four minutes walk from the railway station. It is easy to get to Montpellier, Toulouse and places in Spain.

I can pick you up from Carcassonne airport, which is ten minutes away. It is served by Ryanair from the UK, Ireland, Portugal and Belgium.
Toulouse airport is used by many other airlines. You can get the train from Toulouse to Carcassonne easily.
