    Description

We are Jess and Al Ussher, and we have lived at our place for the past decade with our sons Ben and Isaac (15 and 12). We have a beautiful home surrounded by neighbours farmland. Our place is a 4 acre small holding within enormous veggie patch, sheep, chickens and 2 excitable dogs. We are currently working on planting an asparagus paddock, a native bush area and always working on our orchard where we have a mix of older and baby fruit trees of lots of different types. We have spectacular views of the kaimai ranges and of the ocean, and we wake to the sound of the beautiful multitude of native birds (and sometimes the neighbours cows).
We live outside Tauranga, in the countryside, near an entrance to the bush (native forest) with easy access to lovely walks and a river with a swimming waterhole. We are a 35- 45 minute drive from a couple of surf beaches (mount manganui and waihi) , 25 mins outside Tauranga city.

Come and enjoy our laid back place, join in with our family dinners and enjoy working on a small rural small holding with a regenerative farming philosophy.
We love to travel and love to meet people from all over (between us we can speak a small amount of Japanese and Spanish but it's pretty basic).

  • Help

    Help

We would appreciate help gardening, maintaining the orchard and veg patch (weeding and mulching, feeding the trees) and with creating the asparagus paddock and native bush area. Tasks would be shared with Al and /or Jess , as we find it's more fun and productive working together. If you like walking dogs and cooking that could also be an option.
