Description
We are Jess and Al, and we have a 4 acre small holding snuggled into the Kaimai Range, with an enormous veggie patch, sheep, chickens and 2 excitable dogs. We are currently working on planting an asparagus paddock, a native bush area and are always working on our evolving mixed fruit tree orchard. We have spectacular views of the kaimai ranges and of the ocean, and we wake to the sound of a multitude of native birds.
We live outside Tauranga, in the countryside, near an entrance to the bush (native forest) with easy access to lovely walks and a river with a swimming waterhole. We are a 35 minute drive from a couple of surf beaches (mount manganui and waihi) , 25 mins outside Tauranga city.
No public transport links, Own transport is imperative.

Come and enjoy our laid back place, join in with our family dinners and enjoy working on a small rural lifestyle block/ small holding with a regenerative farming philosophy.
We love to travel and love to meet people from all over to share ideas and make friends (between us we can speak a small amount of Japanese and Spanish but it's pretty basic).

Easy drive to beaches and town, also to local hot pools. Easy walking distance to forest walks and a pretty spectacular swimming hole, and also fine to chill on the deck and enjoy our amazing views. We are early to rise and fairly early to bed as have kids at school and Jess gets up early to go to work Tues to Fri.
No smoking or vaping inside please. Water is rainwater and heated by solar, so short showers only please. Adequate but slightly limited Wi-Fi (can't support lots of streaming).

They are a really lovely, friendly and super competent couple, with many skills and great attitudes.
Pre-visit communication was great. On arrival they fitted right in.
They got down to work helping us sort out our seriously overgrown veg patch , which now looks awesome (thanks guys!) and… read more
