Description
Last year, I have moved from a German city to the Danish country side to live on a farm, which has always been my dream. So I bought an old farmhouse with a strong need of renovation but also with ca. 2,5 ha of land in the most beautiful area of South Fyn.
Currently, I am renovating the old farmhouse with the help of friends and family and we already got a lot done the last year. Since there is still a way to go, I am looking for a few more lovely hands.
I live here with my 4-year old farm dog , three of the neighbors horses and the vision is to create a place for co-living of like-minded souls, who appreciate solitude and community, nature and animals, a conscious life, shared laughter and much more.
My professional background is in development aid/ sustainable packaging, so I have no background in construction, but I learn a lot on the go and try to apply principles of sustainable materials/ re-use, when ever I can. Luckily, one of my neighbors and now good friend is helping me and has lots of expertise in renovation.
Ideally, I would be looking for semi-skilled and hands-on people, that can support me with the house and maintaining the land. Work may vary a lot since it depends what project im working on. We will work on projects together most of the time.
In exchange, I would like to take you along on my learning journey of renovating an old farmhouse with re-used or sustainable materials, invite you to enjoy the beautiful garden, nearby hiking paths and beaches. The house is located 10mins from a bigger town Faaborg by car and 5mins to a small town with a supermarket by bike.
The area is called Svanninge Bakker, which is well-known for its hiking, riding and bicykling trails in preserved nature. There is also a number of lakes and castles around.
We will eat/ cook together in a fluid schedule and according to everyones taste. The food is gonna be mainly vegetarian. There is good internet connection.
Some words about myself: I have traveled the world quite bit and have no decided to grow roots on beautiful Fyn. I enjoy being physically active, walks in nature, yoga, swing dance as well as meditation and reading. I have a deep interest about human and animal psychology and the connection of mind and body. I love getting to know people and believe that we can learn from one and each encounter. For this project, I wish for hands-on people, who bring their good spirit, ideas and passion of bringing this old place to life.Types of help and learning opportunities
