    Description

Ciao a tutti! I am Silvia and I love nature, art and culture. I am 58 and I am living in the countryside about 8 km from Lecce. I have a big garden that requires constant maintenance. In the summer in particular, it needs to be watered for several hours a day (in the morning and/or in the evening).

I have a vegetable patch that needs watering. At certain times, seeds need to plants, plants need pruning and vegetables need to be picked.

I have many trees and flowers that also require water.
Asides from the garden, I need help with small projects in the house.

**I would like to host someone with plumbing experience as I want to install a watering system in the garden**

A few years ago I started doing ceramics and I have a collection in my house for you to see. I am passionate about the process of making ceramics.

Living near Lecce, you will have the opportunity to take the train and see this amazing city. It is also possible to visit other places such as Otranto, Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca (where the two seas meet), Brindisi, Monopoli, Polignano al Mare, Bari etc.

Depending on when you are here, there are many fesitvals and events.

As I teach ceramics, there is also the possibility to take lessons.

I am an Ayurvedic massage therapist also and I teach people the ancient Art of Ayurvedic Massage. I also teach this to couples.

I have learned a lot about nutrition and food cultivation and have completed Level 1 Principles of Permaculture.

    Transport and local area
You can easily reach Lecce from Brindisi airport, where a shuttle takes you to Lecce. I can pick you up in Lecce or you can take a local train to San Cesario, which takes 5 minutes.

When you are here you can use this train to go to Lecce or to other villages in the area of Salento, like the famous touristic destinations of Otranto and Gallipoli as mentioned above.

You can get to visit Apulia that is rich of history, of magnificent gothic and baroque churches, castles, hypogeum, byzantine crypt, or go all around our see cost. The seaside is breathtaking any time of the year!

My local town is called San Cesario di Lecce. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the centre. There are plenty of services and facilities and shops.

    Cooking and Housekeeping
I am passionate about cooking and nutrition. I love to share a meal and teach people some Italian recipes. However, as I work a lot this may not be possible every day. I have a kitchen under the veranda with appliances and fridge that you can use to store groceries and cook for yourself when you need to.
It is important to be a responsible person and respect the enviornment we live in and keep it clean.

I am looking forward to host new travellers and have a mutual cultural exchange.
