Description
We would like to welcome you to the beautiful chaos we call home on Sweden’s west coast!
With 9 horses, 6 dogs, 20 chickens, 4 lively kids (and a new baby on the way in May 🍼), and two very different grown-ups trying to keep it all running, there’s never a dull moment here. One day you might be riding a horse by the lake, the next fixing fences in the sunshine, or chasing runaway chickens with the kids.🐓
Our home is busy, warm, and full of life – the kind of place where you’ll share meals, laughter, and the occasional muddy boot moment, and our goal is that you feel like part of the family from day one.
We’re a lively family of six (soon seven!) living on a farm on the beautiful west coast of Sweden, not far from Gothenburg.
Here you’ll meet Jenny - always everywhere and nowhere at the same time, slightly scatterbrained but with a thousand projects going on and something exciting always happening. She works full-time as a farrier (horse shoer), so if you’re curious about horses or hoof care, there’s always something to learn or watch!
Then there’s Pontus – calm, quiet, patient, and the one who makes sure things actually get done (someone has to balance out Jenny’s whirlwind energy 😅). He works full-time as a gym manager and personal trainer, so if you’re into fitness, health, or need a good workout plan, he’s definitely the one to talk to!
Our four little wildlings are Christiano (11), Kayden (6), Zoey (5), and little Jack (2) – each with their own charming, funny, and wonderfully unique personalities. And as mentioned, we’re expecting baby number five in early May, which we’re all super excited about! 💕
🌸 Update for 2026:
We are now looking for someone who can stay for the full period from the beginning of April until the beginning of June, as we are expecting a baby in early May.
A longer stay on either side of those dates would be even better if possible!
What We Need Help With:
In short: an extra pair of hands (or two!) to make everyday life run smoother – especially this spring when our family will be growing. There’s always something going on here, and no two days are the same.
🐴 If you love horses:
This is your place! We have 9 horses and would love help with riding, exercising, training young horses, feeding, bringing them in and out, and general stable work. The exact tasks depend a lot on the season. If you have horse experience, you can take on more responsibility. Without experience, we can’t promise you’ll work directly with the horses – but there’s always something else important to do around the farm.
👶 If you enjoy kids:
Some babysitting would be wonderful when needed, so it’s important you enjoy spending time with small children from giggle fits to “why-are-you-crying-now?” moments. And with a newborn arriving in May, an extra helping hand with the little ones will mean the world to us.
🌱 If you like farm life:
There’s always something to tackle – gardening, fixing fences, mowing the lawn, painting, repairing paddocks, or indoor projects. Got carpentry skills? Even better!
🏡 Inside the house:
With 6 dogs, 4 kids (soon 5!), and lots of activity, we appreciate help keeping things clean, picking up toys, cooking, and chasing down those dog hairs that somehow find new hiding spots every day.
Who We Are:
Jenny:The idea machine, multitasker, and always in the middle of a new project.
Pontus:The calm and patient rock who keeps things grounded.
Christiano, Kayden, Zoey & Jack: Energetic, half-wild, but always charming.
Baby on the way: Arriving May 2026 💫
The animals: 9 horses, 6 dogs, and 20 chickens – all needing love and care every single day.
What We’re Looking For in You:
* Easy-going, friendly, and able to take initiative.
* Good English skills (speaking & understanding).
* Ready for the fact that some days are light and others are heavy – but always rewarding.
* Non-smoker 🚭
* Preferably not vegetarian (we eat meat and love to cook together).
Our farm is on Sweden’s stunning west coast, close to lakes, forest and nature, yet just an hour drive away from Gothenburg.
We love welcoming new people into our daily life – if you enjoy animals, nature, kids, and a life full of movement, laughter, and occasional chaos, you’ll fit right in.
*Please check our calendar before sending a message.*
We can’t wait to hear from you!
