Description
Join Us in Nature – Experience the rural New Zealand culture.
We're a peaceful rural property surrounded by nature, where we work on various projects to keep the land and buildings thriving. Renee is a teacher and myself (Adam) a Hydrographic surveyor and orchardist. Our place includes an avocado orchard and open green spaces overlooking the nearby harbour. We would love to share our lifestyle and a slice of New Zealand with you on both the water and the land.
We offer free accommodation. We ask that you help with general tasks such as cleaning, general home and lawncare or planting natives to contribute to the biodiversity. A bonus if you can improve our foreign language skills. There's always something meaningful to contribute to, and we aim to keep things varied and flexible.
We enjoy board sports, the ocean and the outdoors, so if you're easy-going, and enjoy learning about our hands-on, outdoorsy lifestyle, we'd love to hear from you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Kia ora! We’re Adam (36) and Renee (32), a laid-back, outdoorsy couple living on a beautiful 2-hectare rural property with orchards, greenspace and views of the harbour, trees and bays. Were just 10 minutes from the beach—perfect for surfing, fishing, or enjoying the coastal lifestyle.
We love sharing skills and experiences, whether it’s through sharing languages and surf adventures, planting natives or simply having a laugh over dinner. We often cook and eat together and are happy to involve you in our local adventures—surfing, fishing, or even snowboarding trips in winter. If you’re into the outdoors and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, you’ll fit right in.
We love people and are always keen to share and also learn new languages and perspectives.Projects involving children
