Bringing Life Back to the Landscape
For more than 30 years, we have been creating new ponds, alleys, restoring flowering meadows, and revitalizing diverse forests. Not with words, but through concrete action. Our goal is a harmonious landscape with enough space for both people and nature.

    Help

Generally if you are staying in our cottage in Padouchov, you will spend a day in the forest planting trees, building protective fences, preparing places for planting (cleaning up branches, brushwood etc.) or raking meadows.

When we finish reconstruction of a place for volunteers in Liberec (April/May), we will update list of tasks. Your day will be a little different, because we drive to various locations, which we take a care of (meadows, forests, wetlands), from Liberec together.

Any help is welcome. There is no need to have previous experience. We can show you how to do every task.
The list below shows what we do during every year outside.

    January – March:
Cutting back self-seeded woody plants in meadows
    Removing reed
    Loading and transporting old grass
    Repairing fencing enclosures

    March – May:
    Work in the forest nursery
    Transplanting mature tree seedlings
Planting trees and shrubs in the landscape

    May – September:
Mowing meadows in flat and difficult terrain
Subsequent removal of cut vegetation – raking, gathering, and loading

    October – November:
    Work in the forest nursery
    Transplanting young tree seedlings
Autumn planting of trees and shrubs in the landscape

    Accommodation

At this moment we are reconstructing a place for volunteers in our office building near city centre of Liberec.
Meanwhile we can offer a stay at our cottage in the nearby woods. It has water, electricity, but no WiFi. You can see how it looks in the photos. It is in peaceful location with beatiful view, but it is a little remote from city. We also rent this cottage, but it is for free for volunteers.
And it is recommended to have own sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner. For those who do not have, we have some spare bags you can use.
A stipend will be provided. There is fully equipped kitchen in the accomodation.
