Description
Spring is coming and the work on the farm will be a lot about the house, garden and animals.
You will live on a farm where we have horses, sheep, ducks and bees. In the park around the manor there is an art exhibition, which is expanded every year. In 2018, 50 students from two art schools nearby designed an exhibition. In 2019 it was the school children in the nearby village. In 2021-2024 we have made a large outdoor mosaic with marble. This spring we are starting a new "star project" (still in planning).
You will participate in the work with the art project, with the work in the garden, indoors, as well as with animals and fences, painting and much more that needs to be done on the farm.
The farm is located 16 km outside Linköping, with good communications (bus + train or bicycle on a fine bike).
My workaways have their own room (with WiFi), in the main building. You eat breakfast and lunch on your own, but we eat dinner together on weekdays. All meals are included. We cook dinner every other day (or third, if you are two workaways). We agree on when the workday starts (some want to start early, others late). You work five hours a day, which also includes time to cook dinner, when it is your turn. Usually you work for yourself (after instruction) but I try to participate as much as I can. The work varies, so it doesn't get boring.
I prefer if there are two of you, who come together, as I will be away some days for my work.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn how to live on the countryside with animals and how to maintain a garden with art projects. You will make dinner every other day on weekdays or more often if you like to cook. I have had many interesting discussions and cultural exchange with my Work-a-ways, during the years.
Help
Help with gardening, fences, painting, building and preparation for art- and garden projects. Some animal care but the horses is cared by their owners. You decide your own working time.

What else ...
The farm is situated 16 km outside Linköping. You can either bike to the middle of the city on excellent biking roads (approx 45 min), or take bus/bike and train to the city, approx 15 (bus/bike) + 7 minutes (train every 30 minutes). Linköping is a nice city with a university and lots of cultural activities.

During our time there we cut branches, collected them and drove them away in a cool honda. We polished all windows in the house! We laid tiles, and helped with other things that needed to be done indoors and outdoors.

One of my tasks was working in the garden, for example removing weed, cleaning windows or painting a fence with the typical red Swedish colour.
