    Description

    Ideally 1 - 2 weeks

We are a couple Per- Italy with a 11 yrs child. we live in Cocachimba, Amazonas region in Peru (1800 masl, not jungle, just tropical Andes :)) We are right below the Gocta waterfall and in the middle of the Utcubamba valley. There are plenty of hikes you could do. Visits to waterfalls and caves. Chachapoyas archeological sites. we are located in a tiny town . Closer airport: 1 hour. closer bus station: 30 minutes. We run a lodge with 3 cabins for guests. We have set a space for children of the town , kind of small space with small forest and a cabin acting as a small public tiny library (Cabaña Mágica).

    we look for:

    - For May, a person who speaks French and be willing to help with home schooling for my 11 y old son in French (one hour per day ) , stay with him some evenings , oversee the lodge , then optional: and/or help with content for social media , gardening . ...around 3'4 hours per day , 5 days, flexible

    we offer
Accommodation and 2 meals breakfast and lunch. Accomodation in small simple but furnished private room in a natural environment, all green , in front of Gocta waterfall we could consider two persons but ideally one. For other meals at your own you can use the small kitchen and hotel kitchen if avalable

We run this lodge since 2019 and live here in Cocachimba since 2016, we have 3 cabins that we rent to tourists and visitors from all around the world, we keep the property with the help of 3 persons who work here . We have also a green garden with some vegetables and also lots of fruit tress in process of growth or some already giving us their fruits :). We are in the upper part of Cocachimba town (220 inhabitants) The view of the Gocta waterfall (770 mts one of the biggest) is all over here. We are in the area known as the kingdom of the pre Inca civilisation: the Chachapoyas (lots of archeological sites around, like Kuelap, and specially stunning nature perfect for trekking of all levels) . We have 2 dogs and 3 cats int heir own area in general but better not be allergic to cats.
Closest bus station: Pedro Ruiz town (movil bus, or Civa bus) from Lima, Trujillo, Piura or Chiclayo
    Closest airports: Chachapoyas with atsairlines.com (1hour) , or Tarapoto /Chiclayo (6-7 hours)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

we are an Italian Peruvian couple, previously we lived in Lima, Italy and France. Here in Cocachimba you will exchange also with local people getting to know some of local culture and traditions (this is not Quechua, dont expect Cusco-like traditions). In this region lots of coffee cultivation, orchids, bird watching, waterfalls and Chachapoyas culture archeology. We are in the hearth of the Chachapoyas land (tropical Andes), average temperatures 14-26 degrees Celsius (not jungle, no vaccins needed, no dangerous mosquitos). With lots of archaeological sights, beautiful landscapes and birdwatching. We can offer experience in Peruvian culture and traditions, tourism orientation, lodge management, ecc.
We are right below the Gocta waterfall and in the middle of the Utcubamba valley. There are plenty of treks you could do. Visits to waterfalls and caves. Chachapoyas archeological sites. we are located in a tiny town . Closer airport: 1 hour. closer bus station: 30 minutes.

we have a good wi fi connection in most areas of the property but not all . I also work online. But considering that we are in the Peruvian Andes it could happen that it slows down , or that it stops if there is a energy shut down , but is real not frequent at all. Is good anyway to have a cell phone with some data for back up if possible (claro and Bittel work well here)
