Description
Our home is an eco-friendly B&B on San Pietro Island, off the southwest coast of Sardinia, surrounded by nature and just a short walk from a beautiful sunset beach. This is a peaceful, hands-on place where life moves simply, connected to the land, the sea, and creative projects.
The property is one of the island’s first B&Bs and has been family-run for over 15 years. It runs on solar energy and well water, with fruit trees, gardens, and shared outdoor spaces that are continuously evolving. We are currently improving the garden and outdoor areas, including woodworking, light renovation, and building a collaborative outdoor gym space.
We are looking for practical, reliable helpers who enjoy working with their hands, being outdoors, and contributing to meaningful projects. Tasks vary by season and include gardening, maintenance, painting, simple construction, and creative DIY projects. During retreat periods, we may also need light help with setting up the table for meals and basic daily cleaning.
Compensation is provided: in addition to accommodation, we offer minimum wage payment for each hour worked. Outside of retreat periods, work is usually done in the mornings, leaving afternoons and evenings free to enjoy the island.
This is a relaxed but organised environment, best suited for people who enjoy nature, collaboration, and a grounded island lifestyle.
About the host
Christopher lives on San Pietro Island and runs the B&B with a strong focus on nature, creativity, and simple living. After many years living and working internationally, he returned to Italy to care for his mother and continue developing the family property as a welcoming place for travelers, retreats, and cultural exchange.
He has a background in music, events, and creative projects, and enjoys cooking, gardening, surfing, yoga, and building things by hand. The home is a lived-in, evolving space, and helpers are treated as collaborators rather than staff. There is also a recording studio on the property and dancing events are being organized around the island.

Help
⭐ Last-minute help needed (January–April)
We are currently looking for one couple or two friends to join us short-term.
This is a hands-on, outdoor-focused experience in nature, close to the sea, with flexible days and a relaxed but organized working rhythm.
Main priorities for the coming weeks include:
Woodworking and small outdoor constructions
Setting a stone foundation and leveling ground for an outdoor gym area
Painting of a container
Gardening, pruning, clearing paths, and general plant care
Simple landscaping and garden layout improvements
Light maintenance and practical outdoor projects
Tasks are planned together based on skills and weather. No heavy construction, but comfort with tools and physical outdoor work is important.
General:
We are looking for one or two helpers (friends or a couple preferred), minimum age 23. Ideally at least one person speaks basic Italian, but it’s not mandatory. We value reliability, practical skills, and a positive, hands-on attitude.
October to May is when help is most needed.
Retreat season runs mid-April to end of May and mid-September to end of October.
June to August help is not needed, please don’t apply for these months.
Main tasks
Maintenance and repairs: light structural maintenance, small repairs, patching, sanding, painting, basic woodwork and simple construction projects.
Painting and creative projects: painting outdoor structures (container, caravan, gazebo, doors), creative painting and decorative improvements, refreshing shared spaces.
Garden and outdoor work: gardening, pruning, clearing paths and maintaining walkways, helping make the garden more beautiful and welcoming, simple landscaping and outdoor layout projects.
Other projects: small practical or creative projects decided together, occasional help preparing spaces between retreats.
No heavy construction or extreme physical labor, but being comfortable with tools and outdoor work is important.
We work in a relaxed but organized way, appreciate initiative, and enjoy collaborating on meaningful projects.
Thank you and see you soon 🙂
