    Description

    Hi, I’m Hang, the founder.

This is a small riverside garden in Da Nang – one of the most livable cities in Vietnam. We are building a simple, real place where people can live close to nature and be part of a small, meaningful community.

This is not a business in the usual sense, and not a school. It’s a living space where daily life happens naturally, we grow vegetables for our meals, take care of animals, share food, and create simple countryside experiences together with local people & children.

The work here is not heavy, but it is meaningful. With the support of volunteers, we hope to create a space where children can practice English in a natural way, through real interactions, so communication becomes something familiar, not something to be afraid of.
At the same time, we want to bring authentic rural experiences closer to them, helping them understand, practice, and learn through doing. Simple things like planting, cooking, or playing together can become real lessons.

We also value cultural exchange. This is a place where local people and international volunteers meet, share stories, and learn from each other in a very simple and human way.

Life here is slow, sometimes a bit messy, but honest and alive. It’s not perfect, but it’s real.

If you are looking for a place where your presence matters, where small actions can create real impact, and where you can be part of something growing day by day — you might feel at home here!

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange happens naturally through daily life.

Workawayers can experience local Vietnamese culture by sharing meals, cooking together, and joining simple activities with the local community and children. You may also have the chance to learn about traditional food, lifestyle, and the rhythm of rural life in Da Nang.

At the same time, we love learning from you & your culture, language, stories, perspectives. We encourage volunteers to share what they know, especially through small interactions with children.

It’s not something formal, but a genuine exchange that happens through living together. We believe the most meaningful exchange comes from simple moments shared together.

  • Help

    Help

Workawayers can help us in simple and meaningful ways, by being part of our daily life.

Tasks are light and flexible, around 3-4 hours per day. You may help with:

    - Simple gardening and taking care of the space
    - Feeding and spending time with animals
    - Supporting small bilingual activities with local children
    - Basic cleaning and organizing shared areas
    - Occasionally helping with photos or videos for our social media
    - If the main tasks are completed, you may also help with simple café service, or small events sometimes organized in the garden.

More than work, we value your presence, your energy, and the small things you share with the community.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

*** We offer simple and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful garden setting.

You will have two options for staying:
    - A private room in the family home
    - Or a shared volunteer house at the farm (shared space and beds, with separate areas for male and female)

Facilities are basic and shared, including bathroom, toilet, kitchen, and common areas where we cook, eat, and spend time together.
For laundry, we encourage hand washing as part of daily life. If you don’t have time, you may use the family’s washing machine ( just let us know soon) or local laundry services nearby (around $0.5/kg).

This is not a luxury place, but it is clean, safe, and feels like home.

*** Food is simple and flexible.

We provide food as part of the exchange and ensure that Workawayers have 3 meals per day.

Meals are simple and flexible. We have a shared kitchen, basic ingredients, and often fresh food from our garden available for Volunteers to prepare their own meals. If you are not able to prepare your own meals, please don’t hesitate to let us know, we will make sure you are well taken care of and not go hungry.

We also regularly share meals together when possible.

    What else ...

In your free time, you can explore Da Nang, known as one of the most livable cities in Vietnam. The beach, mountains, and local markets are all within reach, and there are many peaceful places to discover around.

Our place is located in a quiet area about 15 km from the city center. There are regular public buses nearby, so it’s quite easy to get around and explore Da Nang in your free time.

Having a motorbike can make it more convenient, but it’s not necessary.

Life here is simple and close to nature. There may be insects, changing weather, and basic living conditions, but also fresh air, greenery, and a peaceful atmosphere.

We appreciate people who are respectful, flexible, and open to sharing space with others.
