  Description

  Help us get our garden under control in Christchurch New Zealand!
  
  We are a family of four, with two kids aged 4 and 7. We would love some help with the garden or even potentially some other handy-type tasks depending on your interest.
  
  We live on a hill with a beautiful sea view. We are close to bus routes to town and the beach. We are happy to lend our bikes if you are into mountain biking or would prefer to bike the 4.2km to the beachside. If you are feeling brave there is surfing all year around! The ski fields are approximately 1.5 hours away (ski season can last until mid October). Christchurch city also has many delicious places to eat and explore. Christchurch is also a great jumping-off point to many great places within a few hours away.
  
  This would suit a single person, couple or a pair of travellers who don't mind sharing a room. You will have sole use of the shower room, and use the main toilet.
  
  We love to play board games after the kids go to bed (not compulsory!) and have a whole selection to choose from.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We love taking the children out and about and are happy for you to join us! There are lots of really great walks and biking areas around, and plenty of beaches to wander along. We eat most meals together as a family, and we like to play board games when the children have gone to bed. We have two beautiful cuddly cats.
  
  We love travelling (though don't get to as much lately!) and hearing about different cultures and travel.

  Help

  Our garden is a little out of control! There will be lots of weeding and ground preparation. Perhaps some other landscaping-type tasks. There might possibly be some organising of the shed or if you enjoy handyman type work we can definitely find something to interest you (we have a number of projects on our to do list).
  
  Sometimes you will be working by yourself, other times we might be doing other tasks nearby, or joining you.

  Accommodation

  You will have your own room (or share with each other if you are travelling as a pair), and sole access to the shower room. The toilet is shared.
  
  We eat dinner as a family, and will most likely eat lunch with you if we are home. Breakfast will be self-serve and provided. We love experiencing different types of food so you are welcome to teach us how to cook your favourite dish.

  Shadow and Manny

  Shadow and Manny are two gorgeous adult cats. Manny is very fluffy and wants constant attention. Shadow is more of a night time snuggler.
