Description
Hi everyone, my name is Lê, but you can call me Anh. I’m a full-time mom of three kids. We have just moved from the countryside to the city because there are many more opportunities for studying here, although we still prefer the quiet and natural lifestyle.
My family loves traveling, but we mostly travel within Vietnam and rarely go abroad. My husband and I are a bit afraid of the language barrier, and we really hope this won’t be a problem for our kids in the future. That’s why we want to teach them new languages from a young age, so they can be more adaptable, confident, and have more opportunities in their education and careers.
We heard about Workaway from some travelers we met in the Old Quarter — a famous tourist attraction in Hanoi — when we went there to chat with them and practice English. We really like the idea of volunteers and host families meeting for language and cultural exchange. We would love to be a part of this program so our children can connect with people from around the world and learn more about it -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are living at the center of Hanoi, very lovely location which is near traditional street maket, stadium, movie cinema... You can join us in every daily activities like cooking, shopping, cafe time, riding bicycle around the city....
You can go to the market with me and then I will teach you cook Vietnamese dishes. I am pretty good at cooking, included vegetarian foods. I don't drink coffee, but I can teach you do egg coffee if you are interested.
We have a small Homestay in the countryside 35 km far away Hanoi, so we can take you to hide away from the city at your day off or weekend.
We can help you to make plan for your traveling in Vietnam, where to visit, where to stay and what local foods to eat... because we have visited many places in Vietnam. -

Help
We are especially interested in learning Chinese, so Chinese native speakers are our priority.
🇨🇳 Chinese Volunteer – Tutoring My Kids
The main role is to tutor my two daughter, aged 12 and 5, at home (my son will join sometime but not everyday). We will prepare books, worksheets and other learning materials for you.
However, we don't expect the lessons to be too formal. You are also welcome to teach them Chinese in a more fun and natural way — for example, cooking together, going swimming, playing sports, doing crafts, playing games, or simply chatting and spending time together.
We hope the children can improve their Chinese through everyday communication and activities, rather than only studying from books.
🇬🇧 English Volunteer
For an English-speaking volunteer, you can volunteer at my little daughter's kindergarten in the morning and then spend time with Cherry after school.
The working schedule is approximately:
8:30–11:00 AM: Volunteer at my daughter's kindergarten
Around 2 hours in the afternoon or evening (flexible, depending on your schedule): Come to our home, spending time with Cherry and maybe have dinner with us if you want.
The kindergarten is close to our home in Hanoi. We prefer a couple or someone who is comfortable sharing a room with another volunteer, as we may have more than one volunteer staying in there. If you want to have private room, we can negotiate about working hours. -
