Hi! I’m Emilie, 30 years and originally from Argentina :) I've been travelling and volunteering since I was 22, the latest was spending 3 years living and working in Australia. All this has made me very adaptable and open-minded. My only limitation: I’m vegetarian, but a very easygoing one (I promise I won’t try to convert anyone).
My background is in Educational Psychology and support work, which has made me a very patient, empathetic and calm person. I genuinely enjoy helping people and contributing to positive environments. Don't worry, I’ve also worked in hospitality for years as a barista, waitress, housekeeper and all-rounder.
I know probably everyone says something like this here, but I love learning about different cultures and experiencing places beyond the typical tourist perspective. For me travelling is about sharing daily life, helping where I can and learning from the people I meet along the way.
I love spending time outdoors: walking/hiking, exploring nature and attempting to surf (emphasis on attempting!) I’m happiest near the ocean and always excited to try new things, even if I’m not very good at them yet.
As you may have guessed, I’m looking for cultural exchanges where I can contribute with my skills, learn from others and be part of a welcoming community :)

I’m friendly, adaptable and organized, and I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. I have strong communication skills, love creating a welcoming environment, and I’m happy taking initiative and helping wherever needed. I’m a quick learner and enjoy both guest-facing roles and practical tasks.

I have experience in hospitality, including reception, housekeeping, customer service, waitressing and barista work. I’ve also worked as a disability support worker, which strengthened my communication, responsibility and problem-solving skills. I’m confident working with people from different cultures, enjoy keeping spaces clean and organized, and I’m always happy to help wherever needed. I also enjoy photography, social media, basic gardening and DIY projects.

What else ...

We are very good at quiz games. We enjoy cooking and sharing meals, exchanging stories with people from different places and learning about local traditions. We’re also big animal lovers, so if there are pets around we’ll probably become their friends very quickly.
