    Description

We’re looking for a positive, hardworking person with an interest in natural building and regenerative farming.

My husband and I have 4 kids (5, 3, 14 month old twins). We’re a small, growing homestead focused on natural building and regenerative farming. We rotationally graze all of our animals and raise grass-fed and finished cattle. We also have milk cows, chickens, and lots of dogs. Our spring-fed water flows throughout the property, filling several ponds along the way. Our property has a beautiful river running through it, plus a wood-fired sauna and hot tub to enjoy while surrounded by nature.

We grow all of our own food and focus on eating the most nutrient-dense ingredients nature has to offer — red meat, eggs, raw dairy, fruit, and raw honey. We strive to live as toxin-free as possible and are currently finishing a natural log cabin to call home.

We live a simple, natural life, focused on staying connected to the land. We question mainstream narratives and dig for truth, even when it means going against the grain. Our goal is to raise our children free from unnecessary outside influence—teaching them real-world skills, critical thinking, and self-sufficiency instead of blind obedience. We grow our own food, make our own choices, and live by our own values. To us, living naturally means trusting our instincts, doing our own research, and creating a life that reflects freedom and independence.

Our daily life includes a mix of farming, building, food production, active outdoor work, and other hands-on aspects of homestead life:
    • Regenerative farming with cattle and fruit
    • Milking cows and making a wide variety of cheeses
    • Natural beekeeping
    • Growing most of our own food
    • Hunting and processing our own meat
    • Cooking and eating a nutrient-dense, whole foods diet

We’re also continuously building and creating:
    • Natural log home construction
    • Earthen/clay floors and natural finishes
    • Upcoming timber frame structure
    • Planned natural swimming pool
    • Building natural play structures for our kids
    This list is growing!!

This lifestyle isn’t for everyone—it can be physically demanding, and we live fairly simply and close to the land. But if you’re looking for a meaningful, skill-building experience and want to be part of a working homestead, you’ll likely find it very rewarding.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We live quite differently than a lot of families. We keep close to home except for when we go adventuring. Fishing, going to the beach, walks, hikes, hunting, skiing. We have a lot of farming knowledge coming from a conventional orchard background and now transitioning to regenerative practices, focusing on cattle and fruit. We are looking to farm with nature, healing the soil to grow nutrient dense food. We are a close family who spends nearly every day together. We would love to get to know your culture and lifestyle to learn what is important to you!

    What else ...

Edgewood is a rural community nestled along the Arrow Lakes. Nakusp (an hour away) would be our closest town. Fun little spot with hot springs, hikes, and a couple nice cafes. Really beautiful area, but if you are looking for a more touristy destination its probably not the best location for you.

***We cannot do any fragrances in or around our home. I am very sensitive and get migraines. Non toxic personal products are a must***
