  Description

  Our Foundation is an environmental organization working in alternative education, environment, culture and rural development. In the education program, the Farm School, converge all these areas of work, with enphasis in agro-environmental work. The Farm School involved vulnerable children and young people from different populations often displaced by violence or children from the slums of the outside sectors of the city, young farmers and indigenous kids or students with special educational needs.
  For 22 years we built high participation processes where students lead productive projects and social gain, arts and sciences.
  
  
  
  La Fundación es una organización ambiental que trabaja en educación alternativa, medio ambiente, cultura y desarrollo rural. En el proyecto pedagógico, la Granja-Escuela, convergen todos estos ejes de trabajo, su énfasis es agro-ambiental. En la Granja-Escuela participan niños, niñas y jóvenes de distintos poblaciones vulnerables: población desplazada por la violencia, niños y niñas del sector popular de la ciudad, jóvenes campesinos e indígenas de los sectores rurales, estudiantes con necesidades educativas especiales. Desde hace 29 años construimos procesos de alta participación, donde los estudiantes lideran proyectos productivos y de ganancia social, artes y ciencias.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  They can participate in workshops. They have the opportunity to interact with different work teams: environmental, pedagogical, cultural, and spiritual.
  
  Pueden participar de talleres.
  Tienen la posibilidad de interactuar con diferentes equipos de trabajo: ambiental, pedagógico, cultural, espiritual. Aprenden técnicas de diferentes expresiones artísticas, conocen la cocina local y nacional.

  Help

  People who wanted to develop a volunteer are welcome to:
  1) Support the improvement processes in agricultural and livestock systems where organic or clean work. We have vegetable crops, coffee, an ecological path, etc.. We have bees, cows, ducks, chickens, rabbits, chickens.
  2) To support the construction of infrastructures that require repairs or adjustments.
  3) Support the work in the arts and crafts workshops for children and youth
  4) Support with language and / or professions students in their classes.
  5) support the construction and design of various technologies appropriate
  
  Las personas que quisieran desarrollar un trabajo voluntario están bienvenidos para:
  1) Apoyar los procesos de mejora en los sistemas agrícolas y pecuarias donde trabajamos la agroecologia. Tenemos cultivos de hortalizas, café, un sendero ecológico, etc. Tenemos abejas, ovejos, patos, gallinas, conejos, gallinas.
  2) Apoyar las construcciones de las infraestructuras que requieren reparaciones o adecuaciones.
  3)Apoyar el trabajo en los talleres de artes y oficios para los niños, niñas y jóvenes
  4)Apoyar con su idioma y/o profesiones a los estudiantes en sus clases.
  5)Apoyara la construcción y el diseño de distintas tecnologías apropiadas.
  6) Participar en los talleres de bioconstrucción.
  7) Apoyar el mantenimiento de los senderos ecológicos y de los glamping, inclusive ayudar a atender a los vistantes.

  Accommodation

  We have a room for two people, and later we hope to offer a house for volunteers. The bathroom and shower facilities are environmentally friendly and shared.

  What else ...

  The Farm School is visited by many people, whether for social and humanistic pedagogy we use for daily work with students, or for offering comprehensive farm crops, animals, appropriate technologies, etc..
  Our idea is to turn it into an environmental theme park that is open to the public on weekends to the general public.
  
  
  La Granja-Escuela es visitada por muchas personas, ya sea para conocer la pedagogía social e humanista que utilizamos para el trabajo diario con los estudiantes, o para conocer la granja integral que ofrece cultivos, animales, tecnologías apropiadas, o por ser una reserva natural de la sociedad civil que ofrece turismos de naturaleza y la observación de aves, etc.
  Los fines de semana se abra el espacio CAFELIBRO RABO DE NUBE al publico en general, hay talleres, venta de productos de café y muchas delicias.
