WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!
My name is Loan
Me, my husband and my brother are running a Hostel in Ha Giang. We opened in november 2017. And since then we have welcome travelers from vietnam and all over the world.
We are located near the mountains 10 minutes drive from the city center, on the way to Dong Van Geopark.
Our family built the hostel by hand, using natural timbers and bamboo. It took us 4 months to build the rooms, the garden and the fish pond, and we are very proud of our achievement.

Help
The main type of help that we need from you is customer service and online marketing (Social media managing, promotion of our services and tours).
But there are many other tasks that might vary every day depending on the season. Bring your best attitude and proactive minds to help. We need you. :)
Teaching english to local children: some days local children visit us, you can play with them and exchange your english skills.
House keeping: our staff has everything in control, but some days we might need extra help with the cleaning or gardening. But in general just help around the place when you think it is needed.
You can also baby sit. We have a baby and we would appreciate it if sometimes you could help take care of our baby.
INCLUDED:
-Accomodation
-3 meals per day. The volunteer is in charge of cooking its breakfast, but lunch and dinner will be cooked by us.
-Free tea, water and coffee
- Bicycle and motorbike to explore the surrounding areas from our hostel or going to the city
We prefer people who can stay a minimum of 3 weeks. We normally only accept one volunteer but depending on the season (high season - september to march) we will consider accepting two.
After doing the loop you can share your experience with our customers, give them advice and if you want, you can go with them as tour guides / easy riders as part of your volunteering tasks.
RULES: we only have a few
After 10 p.m. Be more quiet for the neighbours and my baby
Volunteers clean after themselves.
Volunteers can use the kitchen and take some food (bread, eggs, pancakes, coffee, tea) to cook their own breakfast.
No shoes inside the rooms.
If you have any food allergy or dietary needs let us know (vegetarians, vegans)
communication is key so for if for any reason you are not happy during your stay please talk to us about it. Im sure by the end of your stay you will feel like family.

HOW TO GET HERE
-Let us know in advance the date and time of your arrival, from Ha Giang bus station you can take a taxi to our place. The address will be provided once we agree your stay.
sometimes we can arrange for the bus to drop you here.
You will have plenty of free time to explore Ha Giang city and the surrounding area.
Public transportation is not really good, while you are here you can go out for a walk, run or use one of our motorcycles or the bicycle.
In the city you can go shopping at the local market.
Around Ha Giang, explore nearby waterfalls, hiking routes through local villages and hills and of course the famous Ha Giang loop!
