Description
Hello, my name is Carmela, I'm 54 years old, Dutch origin and moved to Belgium 6 years ago, together with my husband. We found our perfect home: a limestone farmhouse build around 1900. It is located in Limburg, in the middle of nature.
We brought our animals along: two horses and a donkey, a small dog, two chickens and a rooster and 6 cats found their way into our paradise.
I have a part-time job with an employer in the Netherlands, and in addition, I spend a lot of time on daily tasks in and around the house. We have a private garden, animals to take care of and a small green house to grow our own vegetables etc.
My husband has renovated the greater part of the house—aside from a few minor tasks—while I mainly focus on all the daily chores. We really enjoy this outdoor life.
Since my husband fell ill, I have been handling most of the daily tasks myself.
My work, combined with all my daily tasks, is a bit much, so I would really appreciate some help to lighten the load of the daily chores.
In exchange we would like to share this lovely place with people, students and friends who have a big heart for nature and are willing to lend us a helping hand with all kind of tasks and also exchange knowledge and have fun together getting to know each other.

Help
1. I'm looking for help with daily taks such as gardening in our private garden, animal care, chopping wood for wintertime for our wood-fired central heating system (we have some machines to help with that). Help with clearing out and organising outbuildings, the attic, etc., to make the space habitable.
2. If you are handy and interested in DIY small jobs I could use some help with painting a wall and minor repairs of the extra bathroom, replacing lamps etc in the attic. The attic is also the place where workawayers can stay, It's a space with a lot of room, including your own bathroom and entrance. I would really love to turn it into a great place together so you can enjoy your stay even better.

What else ...
Limburg is a beautiful province, surrounded by nature, you will have plenty of time to explore Limburg. You can f.i. visit the mining areas here or take fun city trips to places like Hasselt or Maastricht, all can be reached easily by public transport. The open air museum is worth a visit (Bokrijk).
