    Description

We are a friendly and active family of four looking for a caring and responsible Workawayer to become part of our daily life in a small village in the beautiful Témiscouata region of Quebec.

Our family includes two energetic daughters, aged 4 and 10, a friendly cat, and two busy working parents.

We live in a charming 100-year-old house in a peaceful village where essentials like the grocery store and pharmacy are just a short walk away. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, you'll love it here! We own and operate a maple syrup farm, and one of us also works in the nearby national park. The region offers beautiful forests, lakes, hiking trails, and plenty of opportunities to experience authentic rural Quebec life.

As a family, we love being active and spending time outdoors. Depending on the season, you'll often find us hiking, running, biking, skiing, or exploring nature together. We would be delighted to share these experiences with you.

We speak French, English, and German at home, and we would particularly love to host someone whose first language is English, as we'd like our daughters to have more exposure to the language.

If you're looking for a genuine cultural exchange, enjoy family life, and would like to experience a beautiful corner of Canada, we'd love to hear from you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our family combines both Quebecois and Swiss roots, so you'll experience a mix of traditions, languages, and family life. We speak French, English, and German, and enjoy sharing our cultures through everyday life, conversations, food, and local activities.

Food is an important part of our family life. We enjoy cooking homemade meals using seasonal vegetables and locally sourced meat from nearby farms whenever possible.

Throughout the year, there are many local events, festivals, farmers' markets, hockey games, and community celebrations. Our oldest daughter plays hockey, which is a big part of Canadian culture and a great way to experience local life firsthand.

If you enjoy the outdoors, you'll fit right in! Depending on the season, we spend our free time hiking, biking, running, skiing, snowshoeing, skating, exploring the national park, and enjoying the beautiful lakes and forests of the Témiscouata region. We would be happy to include you in our family outings and adventures.
