    Description

Hello! My name is Metin. I live in Silivri, a peaceful seaside town on the outskirts of Istanbul, with my wife and our two lovely children. Our neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by nature and very close to the sea. Even though we enjoy a calm lifestyle, transportation to the city center is quite easy.

We spend a lot of our time outdoors, especially by the beach and in the local community. I would love to host volunteers who enjoy being around families and who are happy to spend time with children. We really value friendly, warm-hearted people who enjoy sharing stories and connecting through language exchange.

We can offer a shared room for two people in our home. Our kitchen is rich and varied, and we love sharing delicious homemade meals. We are very open to cultural exchange and look forward to learning from you while we share our local traditions. We’re happy to support you in discovering the beauty of our town and making you feel at home.

Workawayers will have the chance to truly connect with our family through shared daily life, such as joining us for meals, spending quality time with our children, and engaging with the local community through visits to nearby places and local events in Silivri. You’ll have plenty of time to relax by the sea, enjoy the beach, and even get your hands dirty with some light gardening if you enjoy being outdoors.

We love sharing what we know, and we can exchange skills in areas like Turkish cooking, local traditions, creative design, and home renovation projects. By hosting people from different backgrounds, we hope to gain diverse perspectives, improve our foreign language skills, and discover different traditions and ways of life, enriching our family’s experience through friendship and mutual learning.

We are a family eager to learn about new cultures and improve our language skills. We are looking for a friendly volunteer who truly enjoys spending time with children and sharing their world. Your main 'role' will be to hang out with our kids, engage them in fun activities, and help us practice our English (or your native language) through daily conversation. We want you to feel like a part of our family while we exchange stories and traditions.
