    Description

We are an active family of five with three sons (aged 18, 16, and 5). We live in a family house in the spa town of Teplice. Our big passion is traveling, especially taking trips in our motorhome to discover new places (you can join us if you want). We are a friendly, open-minded family and look forward to welcoming you to our home.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We offer an authentic insight into the life of a Czech family in a beautiful spa town. Since we love traveling in our motorhome, we can share our tips on "vanlife" and hidden gems in the Czech Republic and Europe. If you're interested in Czech cuisine, we’d love to teach you how to cook traditional dishes, and in return, we’d love to taste yours!

Our family is used to a bilingual environment (English/Czech), so we can help you with your Czech if you're interested in learning. In our free time, we’d be happy to take you on a hike in the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) right behind our house or show you the historical center of Teplice and its spa culture. We hope to learn about our guests' cultures, traditions, and perspectives – we believe every meeting enriches us as a family.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for a friendly and responsible volunteer to join our family. The main role involves childcare for our 5-year-old son, who is bilingual (Czech/English). We need help with picking him up from kindergarten and looking after him until we return from work. We also ask for assistance with daily household tasks, such as light cleaning and cooking. We offer a welcoming family environment and a chance to explore Czech republic.

This host offers a language exchange
We are looking for someone to spend time with our 5-year-old son, Richard, and help him with language development. We prefer a volunteer with an advanced level of English to communicate with Richard and teach him new things, but we are also open to other world languages if you would like to teach him (and us) the basics of your language. The main tasks are picking him up from kindergarten, childcare, and light household help.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We offer a private room for our volunteer in our house, ensuring you have plenty of your own space. You will have access to all necessary facilities and will become a part of our family during your stay.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time, you can take advantage of Teplice's great location. We have beautiful parks and a spa area perfect for walks. If you love nature, the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) are literally around the corner – ideal for hiking, cycling, or skiing in winter. Thanks to good train and bus connections, you can easily reach Prague (approx. 1 hour) or Dresden, Germany (approx. 45 min).

Our home has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but we value mutual respect and keeping the house tidy. We are a non-smoking household. Since we have three sons, it can be quite lively, but you will have your peace and quiet in the volunteer room. If we have a trip planned in our motorhome, we’d be happy to take you along so you can discover more of our country!

Digital nomads are very welcome! We have stable and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, so you won't have any issues working online. You will have privacy in your room for calls or focused work. Regarding the schedule, we are flexible – we mainly need help with Richard and the household in the afternoons (kindergarten pickups, evening routine), so your mornings will be free for your own work projects.
