    Description

Last minute from 8/9th August till 25th August, Thanks :)

I’m Camila, 35, a single mum from Colombia who grew up in Córdoba, Spain. Last year I made a big life change and moved to Mollens ,a tiny, beautiful village in the Valais region of Switzerland, 10 minutes from the ski station at Crans-Montana. Mountains, stars, hiking tracks, and very clean air. I love it here.

Living with me is Calatthis, my three, nearly four year old daughter. She loves puzzles, art, and being outside at the garden. She goes to kindergarden and is a curious, sensitive little person who I adore completely.

I’ve been a Workawayer myself, so I know what a good exchange feels like. I want this to feel mutual, adventures shared, food cooked together, stories swapped, languages mixed. I believe in emotional education, intuitive living, healthy food, movement, and dance as medicine. That’s the kind of home this is.

A Little More Context — Please Read This Part

Right now we’re in a meaningful season as a family. We’re exploring whether Calatthis experiences the world differently in terms of sensory processing and emotional regulation, and we’re working alongside a small support team, an occupational therapist, a psychologist, and a holistic approach to understand her better and support her well.

This means the right helper for us isn’t just someone who loves children (though that’s essential). It’s someone who is calm, curious, motivated, and willing to follow the lead of her support team when it comes to how we play with her, how we respond to big feelings, and how we structure parts of her day. You don’t need a professional background, you need patience, passion, presence, and a genuine interest in this kind of thoughtful, child-led approach.

I’ll share what the team recommends and we’ll learn together. You won’t be doing this alone.

Very important to speak fluently Spanish or French to make communication easier with her.

    • Public transport every hour, 1 minute walk. Public transports are expensive in Switzerland so I recommend you to check on the discounts and different options to move around here since you will need to take bus and train to explore this breathtaking country :)
    • Small supermarket nextdoor.
    • Sierre 15 minutes downhill by bus. Geneva/Zurich/Bern airports about 2 hours by train. Crans-Montana 15 min uphill by bus.

    The Help I’m Looking For

Around 3–5hours a day, 5 days a week. This might split across morning and evening depending on the day.

What that looks like in practice:

    • Playing with and supervising Calatthis while I work, cook, or handle life admin
    • Supporting her with activities recommended by her OT and wider team :things like sensory play, creative activities, movement games, and gentle routines
    • Responding to her emotions in calm, connected ways (I’ll guide you on this)
    • Help with simple meal prep, we eat healthily and avoid white sugar, so someone who enjoys cooking that way is ideal. I do appreciate someone who really loves cooking and feel comfortable taking control of my kitchen ;) you are very welcome.
    • Light household tasks: dishes, sweeping, keeping things in order
    • garden tasks. Throw compost, harvesting, cleaning herbs.

Minimum stay: one month. This is important. Calatthis needs consistency and time to build trust, and a short stay doesn’t give that. We’d love someone to stay longer if it feels right for everyone. We would also prefer someone who speaks French or Spanish natively to communicate with Calatthis. I speak English but she does not.

I need practical people, experienced travellers who knows and appreciate to live in a simple way. "Less is more". Living in the mountains, we welcome nature lovers, problem solving and autonomous souls :)
