  Description

  Hello and welcome to co-create this dream that hopefully with your help and skills will become part of this reality.
  
  My name is Wouter, a 37 y/o human being who changed an office environment in The Netherlands for a simple and quiet lifestyle in the countryside of Portugal. Last least.... untill last year when I moved back to Rotterdam after 3 years. Well, for now at least.

  In Portugal, where I am the proud owner of a small piece of a very wild of land, I have the dream to build a a small retreat place. But immigrating to an other country and starting this mission turned out to be less easy than it seemed. Despite an enterprising character who makes friends easily, I was not grounded enough to carry this project. But perhaps more importantly I did not have a well-founded community to create this project with together.
  
  Lesson learned and so back to basics for a moment, to my hometown in the Netherlands, Rotterdam. I have the good fortune of having bought a small appartement 12 years ago in one of the few historical harbor streets of Rotterdam. Not much was left after the bombing during World War II.
  
I am very happy that I kept my house during my adventures abroad, witch I rented out all this time. It has been transformed several times over the years, which is about to happen again… and maybe with your help!
  
  What else about me?
  I do love to travel, but at this moment in life I want to focus on building something and settling down a bit more. 

  I have an ambitious party life full of booze and drugs behind me, which has now given way to a ''sober'' existence with passions like (Ecstadic & 5 Rhythm) dance and hobbies like inline skating. 

  I no longer drink alcohol, although I have no objection if you do have an occasional drink. 
I still smoke a joint or use mushrooms without wanting to make a habit out of this.
  
  In my free time I like to spend time with friends an/d family, my life is all about giving love. But my mission is to contribute in raising awareness.
  
  The tools to raise my own awareness lays in spending time in yoga, meditation and reading.
  For fun I like to go to festivals in the winter months, with Burning man like events being the best fit for me. Have you got a good enough picture of this dutchman?

  What do I have to offer in return of your awesomeness?
  
  A proper bed in a super cute located apartment in Rotterdam. It is just next to the city center and offers the perfect location to explore Rotterdam which I am happy to help with.
  I offer you at least one healthy meal a day, or the ingredients to make this your self.

For me living together means cooking together and taking care of each other. So don’t expect a personal chef, but more of a short therm not romantic partnership :) 
At least you can count several times a week on a vegetable juice and freshly squeezed ginger shots, my specialties. Besides that I eat veggie stews and salads most of the time.
  I love fish and occasionally a small piece of organic meat from the farmer.

  Help

  I have the desire to refurbish my home to make it more practical, comfortable and beautiful so that I can offer (workaway) guests a more pleasant experience. To make this possible I am looking for help with various DIY jobs in my home. For example, there is all sorts of things I still want to paint, shelves that need to be hung and all sorts of similar chores. 

  
  But also I could use some help to get the house cleaner and tidier. At first glance everything looks neat and clean, but when you sometimes zoom in on the corners for example, you see that they need attention.
  So help with some thorough cleaning would be great.
  
  Besides chores and cleaning, I also have a large collection of plants that need a little love daily :)

  
  The following jobs are currently planned:
  
  - Building a bar on the balcony
  - Changing the living room to the dining room
  - Replacing the door handles throughout the apartment
  - Making a wooden frame around the bed in the bedroom
  - Hanging new curtains in bedroom
  - Repainting the kitchen

  Accommodation

  I had four bedrooms when I bought this house and there are two left. The rest of the walls were broken through in sacrifice of a larger living room and kitchen.
  Adjacent to my bedroom is the only other ''bedroom'' that now decadently serves as a walk in closet. And this is where you will find your place to sleep!
  
  In my basement awaits another nice single bed with an incredibly good mattress that is too heavy for me to lift by myself. So the first thing to do upon your arrival is to furnish this room to your liking. Maybe add some plants, and make it cosy. Probably some of my shirts will have to make room for this, but we will make this work!
  
  Furthermore, pictures tell more than words, judge for yourself if this is a place where you could feel comfortable?

  Location
  My apartment is just next to the city center and offers the perfect location to explore Rotterdam which I am happy to help with.
  
  Subway > 7 min walk
  Central station > 20 minute walk
  Beach > 30 min drive / or 1 hour direct subway
  Amsterdam > 40 min train
  
  I have two cars what I don't say with pride. But witch, if we bought feel comfortable you can borrow.
  Two days a week I work at a beach bar. So on your days off, you can always join my on the drive to the beach.
  
  Food!
