Hey there! We’re a small family of two. I’m Mihai, 43, an entrepreneur with a few projects back in Romania, and my son Mihnea, who’s 18, studies Marine Biology at the University of Vigo—just a quick 15-minute ride from our place. We also share our home with two playful cats who keep things lively.
We’re both passionate about sailing and have done quite a bit of traveling over the years. We speak English, Spanish, and Romanian, and love meeting friendly, open-minded people. In our free time, you’ll find us hiking, sailing, biking, foraging for mushrooms, enjoying concerts, or simply soaking up the local city vibe.
Our home is just an 8-minute drive from the Atlantic coast. We have a garden with a variety of decorative plants and trees, plus a small pool that could use some renovation—but honestly, we’re more drawn to the ocean being so close by. With our sailboat at hand, we prefer to swim off the coast, leaving the sand behind.
Guests can explore the enchanting Rías Baixas region, where Gondomar offers an authentic Galician feel. Nearby, the charming towns of Baiona and Nigrán have beautiful beaches like Playa América and Ladeira. For a more adventurous day, Mount Galiñeiro promises breathtaking views, while the city of Vigo offers vibrant life, fresh seafood, and bustling markets. This area perfectly blends coastal and mountain beauty, bringing together nature, culture, and relaxation at every turn.

Cultural Exchange: Dive into the local culture and traditions of our region, creating an enriching intercultural experience. Our home is in a truly beautiful area, close to some of Galicia's most stunning beaches, giving you endless options for exploration.
Meals: We provide at least one meal a day, with the option for our guest to get involved in the preparation, allowing us to share recipes, cooking techniques, and food traditions. Of course, if you'd like to contribute to grocery costs for shared meals, you’re more than welcome! We also have a few bicycles available for our guests to enjoy added independence while exploring the area.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual or duo to assist with the upkeep of our property, spanning approximately 1000 square meters. The role involves a variety of outdoor and indoor maintenance tasks to ensure our space remains welcoming and productive.
Outdoor Responsibilities:
Lawn Care: Regular mowing to keep the grass at an optimal height.
Garden Maintenance: Tending to flower beds and plants, ensuring they are watered, pruned, and healthy.
Vegetable Garden Management: Overseeing a small vegetable plot, including planting, weeding, and harvesting activities.
General Cleanliness: Keeping the outdoor areas tidy, free from debris and waste.
Cleanliness Upkeep: Ensuring the interior of the house remains clean and orderly, with tasks that might include dusting, vacuuming, and organizing.
