    Description

My name is Bujianna and I relocated back to Zambia from NYC three years ago. I worked in finance but now I am a regenerative, organic farmer. I am still figuring things out.

Our place is an urban regenerative organic homestead exploring alternative farming and building practices. We are working on growing our own food, harvesting water, and using biogas for cooking while increasing the biodiversity in our micro climate.

We are demonstrating how we can utilize our 2000 square meter plot more efficiently and sustainably and plan to offer urban homestead tours for educational purposes in the near future.

We have several projects that we are currently working on, like a rabbit pen, larger goat shed, building of the solar dryer, etc. We have goats, chickens, pigs, bees and dogs. We also make our own organic skin and hair care products.

We have a separate larger farm where we grow more of our food and a plot that we would like to turn into a sustainable urban green space for the community. We also have river front land outside Lusaka that we would like to eventually develop into a camp ground and/or resort. So much potential! So much work to do!
