Description
Myself, Hans-Hermann (Artist and Biologist) and my wife Elisa (Art and Gardens curator) live in the countryside less than one hour from Rome on a hill overlooking lake Bracciano and the Mediterranean sea and we can host a person or two willing to help us mainly in our garden. Short or long term full hospitality with private room and facilities, also a pool, but do apply only if with previous experience in gardening and also of life in the countryside (two and a half km to the nearest village) and really motivated to practice how to maintain a big garden. If you are not mother tongue English, Italian or German, you should speak fluently at least one of the three for clear communication. We have had wonderful experiences and we are still in touch with many workawayers even after years, but unfortunately we also had a couple of bad situations. We require reciprocal compatibility and if it does not work please look for another host and no squatters! We have one pet only: a very sweet and independent cat.

We have chosen to live in the heart of Italy for our love of Mediterranean climate and culture, we are very close to nature and to world cultures, we have traveled in the five continents and speak several languages besides our mother tongue Italian and German. Our library include books in Italian, German, English, French, etc. about art, cinema, photography, architecture, landscape, gardens, music, literature, etc.

You can enjoy our garden and in Summer also the pool, also light trekking in the woods, forest and hills around the house. We can help you in visiting the area, go to the local cinema with films in v.o, take you to the local train or bus to Rome or Viterbo.
