Description
We are just three in our small Family. We live together with our 11 years old son and our two dogs.
Unfortunately, my husband is out of action for a while due to a ruptured Achilles tendon (long-term injury), which means we urgently need an extra pair of hands to keep our project moving and help with our daily routine.
Your Tasks:
We are looking for someone who can work independently for about 5 hours a day.
The main focus will be:
Renovation work: Painting, light repairs, or general manual tasks around the house. You should feel comfortable handling tools and working on your own initiative.
Dog walking: We have dogs that need their daily exercise and love while my husband is unable to walk them.
What we offer:
Accommodation: You will have your own private room with a reliable internet connection (Wi-Fi).
Food: Full board is included.
Long-term option: If you stay for a longer period and we are happy with your work, we are very open to discussing a paid arrangement beyond the standard Workaway exchange.
Pets: You will be living with our friendly dogs, so being a dog lover is a must!
We are looking for someone proactive, handy, and trustworthy who wants to experience life in one of Germany’s most vibrant cities while helping us out of a tough spot.
Our 3 islandic horses lives in our stable nearby a great lake, Brühl Heide.
During the summer we have a second stable nearby the „Kitzburg“.
During the week we work fulltime in cologne.
We two work 4-5 days a week in Cologne. Tanja works as a physiotherapist and Matthias in a local telecommunication company.
We are looking for someone, who would like to stay with us for one month or longer!
We are mostly veggies. Mattes and Josh sometimes eats meat :-)

Wir sind drei in unserer kleinen Familie. Wir leben mit unserem 11 jährigem Sohn und unseren zwei Hunden in einem Haus in Köln Weiss. Unsere Isis und das Shetty Apollo leben in einem Offenstall. Der Stall ist in der Nähe von Heider Bergsee. Im Sommer stehen die Pferde in einem Stall unweit der „Kitzburg“.

You will have the opportunity to explore the nature around the area and some castles and palaces from the Middle Ages. You are very close to Cologne and Bonn. You will see the city of Cologne and one of the most impressive cathedrals in europe. If you want you can visit some nice places around the area with us or on your own during the weekend. You can find some interesting links below. But maybe the most important thing is that you have fun during your stay in our home and enjoy the time with us.
Du wirst die Möglichkeit haben die Natur, einige Schlösser und Burgen in der Umgebung zu erkunden. Du bist sehr nah an Köln und du wirst das Zentrum von Köln und einer der beeindrucktesten Kathedralen von Europa sehen. Wenn du möchtest kannst du am Wochenende mit uns oder alleine einige schöne Orte in der Umgebung besichtigen. Du findest weiter unten ein paar interessante links. Aber das wichtigste ist vielleicht, dass du Spaß während deines Aufenthalts bei uns hast und die Zeit mit uns genießen kannst.

Help
Right now because of the new house in cologne, it would be great to have people here, helping us during the late afternoon and the weekends with renovation stuff.
During the day we are full with our work and cannot spend time with our guest.
Support would be great with walking our two dogs , help with the horses on the field and simple renovating stuff.
Take care: you need cloth for working outside!
Right now we want to finish our Tiny House . So i somebody likes to work with wood and stuff. You are welcome... :-)
We need somebody who ist absolutely reliable, accurate und punctual. You should like animals preferably dogs because we ar looking for somebody who have fun to take our dogs for walkies. During wintertime your Job also can be to take care of our horses in the morning.
Tanja is always at the stables on Fridays, around 3-8 p.m., when we have horseback riding therapy.
You should be kind to our son and our animals.
Da wir gerade unser neues Haus in Köln fertig stellen wollen, arbeiten wir viel dort im Haus , gerade abends und an den Wochenenden. Wenn du da mithelfen kann, wäre das wundervoll.
Auch wäre es schön, wenn du Lust hast mit unseren Hunden Spaziergänge zu machen.
Wir benötigen jemanden, der absolut zuverlässig und pünktlich ist. Du solltest Tiere mögen besonders Hunde, da wir jemanden suchen der Spaß daran hat mit unseren Hunden spazieren zu gehen. Mittwochs und Freiatgs habe ich Stalldienst bei unseren Pferden. Gerne können wir zusammen zum Stall fahren.
Tanja ist immer freitags am Stall, ca 15-20h, da ist dann Reittherapie.
Du solltest liebevoll zu unserem Sohn und unseren Tieren sein.
Gerade jetzt wäre es schön jemanden zu finden, der Spaß an der Gartenarbeit hat und uns beim Renovieren von unserem Tiny House helfen könnte.

Right now, the Caravan ist free. Also a room in our house. We share our kitchen and bathrooms. Also there is WIfi and electricity in the caravan.
Wir haben verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Unterbringung. Im Gästezimmer, im Caravan oder du kannst auch im Garten Zelten, wenn du dies möchtest.
Gerne kann du unsere Küche und das Badezimmer nutzen. Wir freuen uns über nette Gesellschaft.
