Description
** hoping to welcome new visitors from March 2026 ** Lots of eco type projects planned; planting native trees, removing barbed wire fencing, felling and dressing eucalyptus timber for various projects, plant propagation, exclusion fencing to be put up to keep wild dogs and foxes away….
Note: the last 3 couples have stayed for several months each. Whilst here they worked for local plant nurseries and achieved their 88 day quota which unlocks the 2 year visa. If you are looking for an income, zero rent to pay and have plenty of energy get in touch 👍 NOTE - we do not do the 88 days here only Workaway, visitors still need to find work locally…
Our family is Mum and Dad, two daughters aged 8 and 12, 3 dogs and lots of chickens, 2 Alpacas and a Pygmy goat. Oh, and also an outdoor swimming pool.
Family lives on 30 acre farm near Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland - about 90 minutes north of Brisbane. Lots of outdoor work as we maintain the property and slowly do revegetation to improve wildlife habitat. The area is beautiful and quiet. Accommodation would be a converted barn which sleeps two people (double) or two singles. Accommodation is self contained with bathroom/shower, small kitchen. ** Please note we don’t at this time provide meals - but the barn has a kitchen **
Typically we only like to welcome couples - due to the sleeping arrangements. But 3 can also work with a mattress placed on the floor. Please note that we are not really able to accommodate young children due to health and safety considerations.

Nick, Pauline, their children and the dogs are just amazing. They made us feel like being part of the family, even though we were generally eating in our accommodation (which is lovely!). If you don't have your own car, Nick or Pauline will always … read more
