    Description

Hello! We are the parents of two little girls of almost 4 and almost 7 years old and we live in the country about 25 minutes from 2 big towns. We are looking to host someone who can speak English to play with our 2 daugthers about 25 hours a week. We love them to be in contact with someone who speaks a different language and has a different cultural background! We hosted many times before and we loved it! Lia is almost 7 years old and she loves drawing. She is really good at art in general. She also loves to play outside. She is in first grade this year and is really excited about it. She learns really fast and she likes learning new things. She has traveled a lot since she was young and did many immersions in Spanish and English so she is used to different cultures and ways of living. Flora is almost 4 years old. She loves to play outside and with her toys. She is the little clown of the family as she likes to make jokes and do some acting. Lia's school and Flora's daycare are located next to each other and only 1,4 km from our house. We live in the country next to a rove so fishing and canoeing is possible right behind the house. I am a high school language teacher and my boyfriend, Christian, who is the father of the two girls, works for the government into the Forest and Natural Reserve Department. We have a 8 year old cat that is really affectionate.

We are a French Canadian family and we speak French, English ans Spanish simply because I am a language teacher and we taught our kids from a young age. We live in the country with a river passing behind the house. If you love nature, you will love our place! For your free time, you could go for bicycle rides, go fish behind the house, canoe or simply relax in the Jaccuzi. You could also use the family car if never you want to go for a drive and discover the area. Looking forward to meeting you!

We expect the workaway person to spend time with the kids, to play, have fun and read them bedtime stories. Since English or Spanish is not our kids' native language, we know that this experience will give them an immersion and that is what we want. So, our motivatin is to offer the kids another opportunity to develop their languages skills. They both understand English very well and Spanish a little. The schedule could be organized in many different ways but here is an example: Monday to Friday from 4pm to 8 pm. So if you want to sleep in the morning you could, and you would also have your entire day of free time. Weekends could be also free and you could decide to follow along in our activities, stay home and relax or go do your own activities. We can organize for you to visit around if you wish. You could also use the family car.

We live a in two floor house. You room would be in the basement (with a double bed) where there is also a bathroom and a shower that you can use. We have a big garden from which we collect a lot of vedgetables. A river passes right behing the house and when you sit on the patio that is built right above the river, the view is amazing. We also have a Jaccuzi for you to use in your free time. Here you can go for a bike ride (we have very good quality bikes to lend you), jump in the trampoline, canoieng behing the house or go fo a run. September and October are the months of the Canada Goose migration so if we are lucky again this year, we could see many birds landing every day right behing the house.
We also have a Chalet in the forest where we could go spend some time and have a walk in the forest.

As for the food, don't hesitate to tell me what you like to eat and I could modify our grocery shopping list and the meals we cook to make sure you enjoy the food we eat.
