    Hi Guys,
    My cottage in the pretty hills of herberton is just 2 minutes walk to the lovely state forest rich with tin mining history beautiful native forest lots of birdlife & the odd sighting of wallaroos.
    # The wild river is just 5 minutes walk, there is a flat walking trail, good swimming in the wet
    #My verandah is a lovely chill out place where the local birds visit
    The village has:a
    -small supermarket
    -2 pubs
    -chemist
    -post office
    -3 cafes,
    -hardware store
    -library for internet
    Note:# have no wiifi for guests#
    # NOTE: simm cards for Atherton Tablelands area are Telstra, Vodafone has poor coverage up here.

    #My friends & my partner Pete are all good cooks too, some make their own cheese, kimchi etc.
    #Pete is also on workaway in Tolga, & we sometimes get together with all of us for a bbq at Lake eacham or snacks n wildlife watching.🐦
    #The wildlife around the tablelands is really interesting we have Cassawories 🦃
    And tree kangaroos 🦥

    # The native plant life is pretty special & I'm happy to show you around my backyard, the beautiful Atherton Tablelands 😉

    #The verandah space is a lovely place to hang out for brekky or just chilling & watching the local birdlife.
    # I will ask before you come what foods you eat
    #Currently I'm Gluten 🍞& Dairy 🐄free, but happy to provide these ingredients for guests.
    # I usually only eat moderate amounts of meat 2-3 nights a week , some vego meals & lots of fresh healthy veges/ salads as much fresh Pick From The Garden first
    #Bring your favourite recipes, be prepared to cook😋😋

    #Plenty of lovely free outdoor pursuits on the Tablelands 🚣‍♀️
    I'm happy to take you sight seeing
    The bus 🚌 from cairns comes to the nearby town of Atherton daily.
    #Lots of hiking🚶‍♀️, swimming in lakes & rivers, kayaking, I have a kayak for use
    #Birdwatching, there is a bird hide 10 minutes down the road #The insects in the tropics are incredible. 🦋🐛
    #Locally the historic village is worth paying to go in
    #The tin mining museum is really worth visiting, the locals there great to talk to.
    # There are lots of walks within 2 minutes of my home in the local dry savannah forest.🌳
    #I live a fairly peaceful life & am early to bed & to rise.
    # We tend start early in the garden, depending on the weather
    # I enjoy gardening, hiking, reading,📚catching up with friends for a meal or coffee,also chatting with my family in NZ
    #Keeping my surroundings clean & tidy is helpful especially since my kitchen is not very big.
    # We need to keep up the dishes, emptying bins etc it helps keep the place looking tidy & clean
    #Happy for you to ask questions if you're not sure how things work at my place
