Description
Hello, we are an organic farm with 6 hectares., providing the development of natural autochthon vegetation and introducing the tropical vegetation creating a new balance and sustainable ecosystem with nature as our priority. We have bee hives for pollination.
We produce organic fruits and vegetables from the most common to the most exotic (aubergine, pumpkins, peppers, strawberries, watermelons, moringa, papayas, guavas, bananas, avocados ...).
We sell our products at local and alternative markets in the Algarve. We love to share and inspire our clients with uncommon and healthy food.
The farm is located on top of a small village, 10 min from the sea, 20 min from the forest. The surrounding is amazing with wonderful area for bird watching, hiking, biking, mushroom picking, fishing, and much more.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
The work is diverse, depending on the season and the weather. You could for example plant seeds, clean the plants, harvest seeds, veggies and fruits, improving soil dynamic, make the compost and so much more.
We are also building a natural material house. So, it might require help with the wood, taipa and rock construction.
The work is always done with the notion of going in the way of self-sustainability, and harmony with nature, making a cleaner better world. The working atmosphere is pleasant and dynamic, and you are also welcoming to teach us new stuffs.
For the reconstruction of the house we need people with experience or who want to learn about ecoconstruction.
We also require people with farming experience or willing to learn about it.
There usually are several volunteers at the same time.Languages

The access is easy from Faro Airport, take a bus from the airport to the train station of Faro (15 minutes) and then there is a direct train to Mexilhoeira Grande (Lagos direction, approximately 1h30). The train station is 20 minutes’ walk from the farm, but I might be able to pick you up there.
