Description
My name is Steve. 2022 We bought our dream oasis home in Denmark's beautiful countryside. Our home is based in Stevnts Klintklint a UNESCO world heritage site. This ancient Viking land tells the story of an asteroid that hit Earth 66 million years ago and the effects are recorded in the limestone cliffs of Stevnts. Our home is a 3 generational home; starting with my 8-week-old daughter Shaya, Noumea my sweet 3 year old that has us all wrapped under her finger, my Fiancée Nadine who is a sales manager in Stevnts Klint Experience Centre, her sister Malou a gardener that specialises in permaculture and organic agriculture, her partner Joachim an acquirer, restorator and seller of designer Danish furniture and their adorable 10-week old daughter Febi. My mother-in-law Anette is a world tour guide, traveller and an incredible cook. And me an Aussie builder who fell in love with a Dane. Plus a dog, cat and 10 chickens.
Our family all support each other and live in harmony together. We are good-natured people at the beginning stages of making a homestead and a self-sustaining home and we need some extra hands!
Tasks include: working on our kitchen garden, helping with the nursery, pruning, weeding, building garden beds, cleaning brush and other tasks as they come up! Plenty of work but lots of fresh air, sunshine and a chilled atmosphere.
Before you come we will together create a plan of what we will be accomplishing and can suit that to your strengths and desires. The accommodation is a separate large home with a kitchen and all the comfort you need and can sleep 10. You can decide what time to start the day and eat in your privacy. We are close by anytime, but we honour your personal space.
We are looking for couples, families, friends or passionate individuals to join us. We welcome you to stay with us from July 2025 for stays for at least one week or more. The weather is typically quite warm and sunny, with some rainy spells here and there at this time. It’s a place of relaxation and solitude. Annette can help you plan your Danish experience. We are easygoing and will ensure to listen to you and your desires. There is lots to explore in the area with wildlife, outdoor activities and a nice place to relax. Great place to get back to nature. We would love for you to experience the beauty of this side of the world and the community we’re starting.Types of help and learning opportunities
