Description
Dog lover wanted for Christmas 🎄🐶🐔
For December, I’m looking for a genuine dog lover to help out with daily life on my property near Valencia. Ideally, I’m looking for someone from 20–30 December, but you’re very welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer if that suits your travel plans.
I have 3 lovely dogs who mainly need company, love, walks and attention, as well as 11 chicken ladies who need their daily care. 🐶🐔
During the winter months, the three other casas on the property are rented out on a longer-term basis, so there are usually very few guest check-ins and not much work involved with the rentals. I already have a great cleaning lady and handyman, so you won’t be expected to do cleaning, maintenance or anything complicated.
The main help is simply keeping an eye on things around the property, making sure the gardens and outdoor areas look nice when a new guest arrives, and being available if guests have a simple question. You have a enough free time, also ideally for remote work, I have fast and reliable Starlink internet.
I’m planning to spend Christmas with my family in the Netherlands. Therefore, from approximately 23–29 December, I’ll be away and you’ll have the property to yourself while taking care of the dogs and chickens. It’s important to me that I find someone who is comfortable with this responsibility and genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs.
For this week a comopensation of 250 EUR will be paid.
So if you love animals, enjoy a peaceful countryside setting and would like to spend Christmas surrounded by dogs, chickens and Spanish winter sunshine, I’d love to hear from you! 😊
Hi! I'm Patrick (42) from the Netherlands and I live at the villa, a beautiful 2,100m² property just outside Valencia.
The property consists of my own house and three guest casas that I rent out throughout the year. Together with my three dogs, eleven chickens and the large garden, there's always something to do. That's why I'm looking for one or two enthusiastic, hands-on people who would enjoy becoming part of daily life here.
This isn't a hospitality job with fixed routines, nor is it just animal care. It's about helping with whatever the day brings while enjoying the relaxed outdoor lifestyle Spain has to offer.
What you'll help with.
Every day is different, but tasks may include:
Walking and caring for my three dogs.
Feeding the chickens, refreshing their water and collecting fresh eggs.
Gardening and landscaping projects.
Painting and small DIY jobs.
Helping keep the property looking beautiful.
Assisting with guest arrivals or answering the occasional question.
Small maintenance jobs around the casas.
General day-to-day tasks that come with running a small rural rental business.
No professional experience is needed. A positive attitude, common sense and willingness to help are much more important.
What I'm looking for
I'm looking for someone who:
Loves dogs and animals.
Enjoys working outdoors.
Likes practical, hands-on work.
Is reliable and takes initiative.
Doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.
Enjoys peaceful countryside living.
Is easy-going and friendly with guests.
Life at the villa
There is plenty of free time to enjoy yourself. Valencia is only about 25 minutes away and there are countless villages, beaches and hiking trails nearby.
I regularly go on long hikes with my dogs through the surrounding hills, and you're always welcome to join. If you enjoy nature, outdoor living and a relaxed lifestyle, you'll probably feel right at home here.
I am not looking for employees. I already have a cleaning lady, a gardener and a handyman who take care of the specialist work. I'm simply looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy contributing to daily life at the villa, like being outdoors and don't mind helping wherever an extra pair of hands is needed.
If that sounds like you, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, any practical skills you have and why you think you'd be a good fit.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
