    CURRENTLY RECEIVING WORKAWAYERS

We are a small, family-run project with two different locations in La Serena, offering two very distinct lifestyles — one in the historic city center and one close to the beach and nature.
You can choose the experience that best fits your personality and travel style.

La Serena is known for its beautiful beaches, relaxed coastal lifestyle, colonial architecture and its long oceanfront cycling path along the seaside avenue. It’s a safe and pleasant city with access to surfing, trekking, the Elqui Valley and the Humboldt Natural Reserve.

We are looking for responsible, proactive and respectful volunteers who truly understand what living and working in a shared space means.

    🤍 About Us
We are the owners and administrators, and we are friendly, approachable and supportive.
We have traveled around the world and have also done volunteering in other countries and hostels ourselves. Because of that, we truly understand both sides — the host perspective and the volunteer experience.
We know what makes an exchange feel fair, enjoyable and meaningful.
We don’t see volunteers as “free workers.”We see them as temporary members of our community.

    When possible, we like to:
    • Share local tips and help you discover La Serena
    • Include you in local activities
    • Show you Chilean culture and daily life
    • Support you if you need guidance
    • Create a respectful and positive environment

We are organized and structured — but also warm, fair and communicative.
If you are responsible, respectful and motivated, you will feel very welcome here 💛

🌳 Small Colonial House in the Historic Center
Our Downtown Hostel is located in a small colonial-style house with a maximum capacity of 18 guests, creating a warm and social atmosphere.

    • Right in front of the Japanese Garden (one of the most beautiful in South America)
    • 10 minutes walking to the bus terminal

We are only 8 minutes walking from the beach. The beach area also has restaurants, bars and access to the long cycling path along the ocean.
The property includes hot showers, shared kitchen, green areas and relaxing outdoor spaces.

    • Shared kitchen access
    • Hot showers
    • Friendly, family-run atmosphere

🌟 What We Expect From Our Volunteers
We are a small, organized project, so attitude and responsibility are extremely important.

We have clear protocols. Volunteers are expected to follow guidelines and not improvise or “do things their own way.”
This is not a party hostel and not a place to just hang around.
We are looking for people who truly want to contribute and be part of a respectful exchange.

    📅 Minimum Stay
The minimum stay is 2 weeks.
We believe it takes time to adapt to our systems and environment, so shorter stays are usually not accepted.

    • Excessive partying is not compatible with our volunteer program.
    • Mature and responsible behavior is expected at all times.
