    Developing Sustainable Off-Grid Living Models:

    We ensure that all our volunteers have access to clean, secure, and comfortable accommodations. Here’s what you can expect:

    Tiny Homes:

    +As part of your volunteer experience, you will help build tiny homes that you will also have the opportunity to stay in. Construction will take 4-7 days and these single-person homes are designed to be comfortable and functional, providing a cozy and secure place to sleep.

    Outdoor Shower / Wash Facilities:

    This is an "off grid" experience, on heavily forested land near the ocean. The projects include outdoor, secure, and private hot-showers and other facilities to ensure proper hygiene.

    Camping Experience:

    For those who enjoy a more immersive off-grid living experience, we offer camping accommodations.

    +We provide high-quality tents and all necessary bedding to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
    +Our camping area is well-maintained and secure, offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature and experience sustainable living firsthand.

    Community Meals:

    We believe that good food is an essential part of the volunteer experience. Here’s how meals work:

    +We provide regular communal meals where everyone can gather, share stories, and enjoy delicious, nutritious food together. These meals are a great opportunity to bond with fellow volunteers and our team.
    +Meals are prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, with a focus on healthy and balanced nutrition.

    Self-Catering Options:

    For those staying in tiny homes, you will have access to a small kitchenette where you can prepare your own meals if you prefer. We provide basic kitchen supplies and ingredients to get you started.

    Volunteers camping will have access to communal cooking facilities, including outdoor grills and campfire cooking areas. We also supply cooking utensils and basic provisions.

    Dietary Needs:

    We strive to accommodate various dietary preferences and restrictions. Please let us know your dietary needs in advance, and we will do our best to ensure suitable options are available.

    Community Gardening:

    Our goal is to build a long-term on-site community garden that volunteers, guests, trainees and others can benefit from. You'll be able to help us with this permaculture projects, which will contribute to helping ensure a diverse set of dietary needs are met for our Workawayers in the future.

We're a highly respected 501c3 non profit with nearly twenty years of proven domestic and international humanitarian experience working with those in need (especially high risk persons), and while we are very inclusive, security and safety is our highest priority both for those we serve and those who volunteer with us. We will conduct criminal checks, speak with references, and ensure that all volunteers are suited for our mission.
