Description
We are a family of three living in a unique two-story bus home in the beautiful mountains of Tabio, Cundinamarca, Colombia. Our home is surrounded by nature, with a peaceful view of Huaica, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy silence, fresh air, and a slower lifestyle.
Our current project is to transform an additional 30 m² space into a cozy glamping spot for future guests. This is where you come in! We’re looking for volunteers who can help us with light construction, painting, cleaning, gardening, and decorating. No need to be a professional — just bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a good work ethic.
You will have your own private space with a bed and bathroom, three meals a day from Monday to Friday, and access to a shared laundry. We also have a jacuzzi and sauna that you can use at scheduled times. Our place is ideal for meditation, yoga, and reconnecting with nature.
We speak Spanish and English and are happy to share Colombian culture with you. You’ll be part of our home and daily life, and we’ll do our best to make sure your stay is comfortable, rewarding, and memorable.Types of help and learning opportunities

Staying with us is more than just volunteering — it’s a chance to experience the authentic lifestyle of the Colombian mountains. We live in Río Frío Oriental, Tabio, a small and peaceful rural area surrounded by nature, fresh air, and friendly neighbors.
During your stay, you can:
• Practice Spanish or English in daily conversations.
• Learn about Colombian traditions, food, and customs, especially from the Cundinamarca region.
• Join us in preparing traditional dishes and tasting local ingredients.
• Explore nearby villages, local markets, and hiking trails with breathtaking views.
• Enjoy a peaceful environment perfect for meditation, yoga, and connecting with nature.
• Relax in our jacuzzi or sauna after a day of work.
We love exchanging ideas, hearing about your culture, and sharing ours. This project is not only about building a glamping space, but also about creating a warm environment where volunteers and hosts can learn from each other.Projects involving children

Help
Describe the kind of help you’d like
We are looking for volunteers who can help us bring our glamping project to life. The help is varied and you can choose tasks according to your skills and interests:
• Painting & plastering: walls, floors, and some small touch-ups.
• Light carpentry & decoration: building simple wooden structures, assembling furniture, and adding creative details.
• Gardening & landscaping: planting, weeding, and making the outdoor space more beautiful.
• Cleaning & organizing: keeping the work areas tidy and ready for the next step.
• Small construction tasks: for example, helping to build shower partitions (no heavy or dangerous work).
We don’t require professional experience — a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and teamwork spirit are the most important things. We will guide you through the tasks and work together to make the process fun and rewarding.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day, so you’ll have plenty of free time to relax, explore Tabio, go hiking, or simply enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.Languages

You will always have a private bathroom with a hot shower and a comfortable 140 cm wide bed in a cozy, rural environment in Tabio, Colombia. Depending on availability, your space may be a private bedroom inside our home or a small cabin we are building as part of our glamping project.
Accommodation includes:
• Comfortable bed with clean sheets and blankets.
• Private bathroom with hot shower.
• little basic kitchen for preparing your own meals.
• Wi-Fi connection.
• Common areas to relax, including a garden with mountain views.
• Occasional use of our jacuzzi and sauna to unwind after work.
We live in a peaceful and safe rural neighborhood, perfect for connecting with nature and enjoying quiet nights under the stars. We provide basic groceries for cooking and encourage volunteers to share meals with us when possible. What else ...
We are in the early stages of creating a boutique glamping space in the mountains of Tabio, Colombia. The place is surrounded by nature, with fresh air, peaceful landscapes, and a starry sky at night.
We are looking for volunteers who are proactive, creative, and willing to learn or share skills in areas like cleaning, painting, gardening, carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance.
Please note:
• We work in a friendly and relaxed environment, but we appreciate people who respect schedules and commitments.
• The weather can be chilly, so bring warm clothes.
• There are shops and markets nearby ( 3,1 km), but not within walking distance, so we sometimes go together to town.
• We welcome ideas — if you have suggestions for improving the glamping project, we’d love to hear them!
You’ll have plenty of free time to explore nature, visit nearby towns, go hiking, or simply relax with mountain views.A little more information
Internet access
Limited internet access

We are smokers
Can host families
Can host digital nomads
Our place is ideal for digital nomads who want to combine remote work with helping on a creative outdoor project. We have a reliable Wi-Fi connection, enough for video calls and regular online work (not recommended for heavy gaming or large uploads). You’ll have a private and quiet space to work, surrounded by nature, and can schedule your help hours around your work commitments, as long as tasks are completed responsibly. Power outages are rare but can happen in rural areas, so it’s good to have a mobile hotspot as backup. This is a peaceful location — perfect if you need focus, inspiration, and a change from the city noise.
Space for parking camper vans
We have a large, safe space where you can park your campervan or motorhome. If you love cars as much as we do, you’ll feel right at home — we have tools, a work area, and enough space to do basic mechanical work or small repairs on your vehicle. There’s access to electricity and water nearby, with beautiful views, yet just a short drive from town for supplies.
Can possibly accept pets
We have two very friendly and playful dogs, and we love having other dogs around. Unfortunately, we can’t host cats, as one of our dogs tends to chase them. The property has plenty of space, including a small forest, and the surrounding community is perfect for taking your dogs on nice walks. It’s a quiet area with neighbors nearby, so it’s important to keep dogs from barking excessively, especially at night. We also have a 5-year-old daughter, so it’s important that your dog is comfortable around children.
