    Description

    Hello!
I’m Yenny, and I live about an hour outside Bogotá in a beautiful apartment with stunning mountain views in La Calera. I love traveling, yoga, and peaceful living in nature.

I’ll be traveling during December, so I’m looking for a responsible, caring volunteer who can help look after my two lovely cats and keep the apartment cozy while I’m away. Some days I might be at home before or after my trip, and other times you’ll have the space mostly to yourself — so I’m looking for someone independent, trustworthy, and kind.

    Help Needed:

Cat Care: Take care of my two adorable cats with love and attention every day — feed them, play with them, keep them company, and make sure they feel safe and happy. They really enjoy human presence and affection, so I’m looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy being around them, not just do the basics.

Apartment Tasks: A bit of light help around the house to keep things tidy.

The daily help is minimal (around one hour), but it’s important to be present and caring — someone who understands that animals feel our energy and need affection and companionship.

In exchange, you’ll stay in a peaceful, inspiring home with fast internet and amazing mountain views — perfect for remote work, creativity, or quiet reflection.

I welcome volunteers who are kind, reliable, and respectful, and ideally who enjoy yoga, wellness, or simply a mindful lifestyle.

If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you!

While caring for my cats during my absence, you’ll also get to experience the serene lifestyle of the Colombian Andes. You can take peaceful mountain walks, enjoy the fresh air, and sip delicious Colombian coffee while soaking in breathtaking views right from home.

This is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, disconnect from the rush of city life, and live more mindfully. You’ll have plenty of time to work remotely, read, practice yoga, or simply rest in nature.

You’ll also get to know La Calera — a small mountain town where you can explore local cafés, taste traditional Colombian foods, and connect with friendly locals. If you’re interested, we can also share ideas around yoga, wellness, or creative freelancing during your stay.

Thank you for considering this exchange — I truly look forward to connecting with like-minded travelers who value peace, nature, and the simple joy of caring for animals. 💛

    Hello!
I run freelance projects related to yoga, wellness, and media, and I often travel — so I’m looking for a responsible, caring traveler to stay at my place and help with a few key tasks.

I have two sweet, well-adapted cats who love company and daily playtime. They’re calm and affectionate, but they do need consistent care, attention, and a peaceful atmosphere. I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around animals and will take the time to connect with them.

    Your daily routine will include:
    • Morning (around 8–9 AM): Feed them breakfast, give them fresh water, clean the litter box, and spend a few minutes saying hi and giving them love.
    • Evening (around 7–8 PM): Feed them dinner, refresh their water, clean the litter box if needed, and play with them for at least 30 minutes. They really enjoy interactive play and human presence!
    • Keep them indoors at all times — they’re indoor cats and feel safest that way.
    • Keep their area clean, cozy, and filled with affection.
    • Take out the trash when needed.

To keep the apartment comfortable and pleasant, I’d also appreciate light help such as watering plants, sweeping floors, and keeping the bathroom tidy.

In exchange, you’ll have your own peaceful space with high-speed internet, incredible mountain views, and a quiet atmosphere — perfect if you work remotely or simply enjoy time in nature. You’ll have plenty of free time during the day to relax or explore, as long as you’re consistent and caring with the cats’ routine.

If you’re kind, reliable, and truly love animals, this will be a lovely and relaxing experience. I’d love to hear from you! 💛

    Accommodation

You’ll stay in a cozy private room with a comfortable bed in a peaceful apartment surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The space is calm, clean, and perfect for relaxing or working remotely.

You’re welcome to bring and cook your own food. I’m mostly vegetarian, so I kindly ask that you avoid heavy meat cooking out of respect for the shared space.

Please note that the washing machine is not available for use, as it has needed repairs in the past. There are several laundromats within walking distance where you can easily wash your clothes.

I also ask that you bring your own personal items, such as towels, toiletries, and any other hygiene products you may need. This helps keep things simple and fair, as I’m not able to provide those extra supplies.

La Calera has everything you might need just minutes away — local shops, restaurants, and convenient laundromats. While you're here, take time to unwind, enjoy the peaceful setting, and feel at home in this tranquil environment.

Getting Here & Exploring the Area

Getting to La Calera from Bogotá is simple and affordable. Buses leave every 15–20 minutes from Calle 72 and Carrera 13, near a TransMilenio station. Just take a Transportes Teusacá bus (around $6,200 COP) and you can walk to the apartment from the final stop.

If you prefer, Uber or private drivers can bring you directly — I’m happy to share contact details for a trusted local driver.

La Calera is a peaceful mountain town surrounded by nature, yet close enough to Bogotá for a quick city visit. In your free time, you can enjoy mountain walks, horseback rides, paragliding, or ATV (cuatrimoto) adventures, all with breathtaking views of the Andes — I can connect you with local guides for these activities.

You’ll also find cozy cafés, local markets, and small restaurants nearby, or you can relax at a sauna or thermal spa after a day outdoors. For nature lovers, the Páramo de Chingaza and nearby villages like Guasca are perfect for day trips.

La Calera offers the perfect mix of peace, nature, and adventure — a place to slow down, recharge, and experience the beauty of the Colombian Andes.

    Profile photo of Luna

    Luna (4 years)

    🐾 Meet Luna
Luna is a sweet, loving, and deeply sensitive cat with a gentle spirit. She’s the perfect mix of independent explorer and devoted companion—comfortable doing her own thing, yet always nearby when you need a quiet cuddle.

She startles easily and prefers peace and calm; loud sounds send her hiding under blankets or into the bathroom, her favorite safe spots when the outside world feels too big. Despite that, she’s incredibly affectionate—curling up next to you, settling on your chest, or burrowing under the sheets to be close without being overwhelmed.

Her presence is soft and soothing, like a quiet little moonbeam. She doesn’t need much to be happy—just trust, safety, and the gentle rhythm of love in a quiet home.
